I got this game a few years ago and have spent a good bit of time playing through different early access builds.
Seeing this game completed and finally having a true ending is awesome.

Although the story was almost an after thought, or more like not planned to be implemented in the beginning, I actually really like the way is was put into the game.
It can be as important or as nonexistent as you want it to be.
You never have to read or listen to a single document and still be able to discover and travel through the whole game, or you could read the individual intel pages on every item and creature.

As for visuals, this game is stunning.
Some things can look a bit cheesy but it can be hard to notice when the whole world fits together so well.
I have never seen another underwater game that feels anywhere as immersive as Subnautica does.

And that brings us to the bad part.
This game runs like a$$.
You don't notice it at first, staying in the Safe Shallows means the game isn't loading and rendering as much.
But the more you explore the more you'll get frame drops and freezes.
Its not nearly as bad as it was in early access, but I was really hoping it wouldn't be as much of a problem anymore.

So if you are prone to motion sickness I would say this might be a pass unless you have a beast of a PC.

But if you don't think that will be a problem for you and you enjoy survival exploration games, get on this.

It's worth the price of admission.

It has a good story and its good looking.
The only real problem I ever had was with some of the gameplay mechanics, but I can over look it because of how good of an experience the overall game was.

I definitely plan to replay it in the future.
