Original came out in 2011. It's been eight years, and the game still holds up. Todd you son of a gun, you've done it again.

The game has it's ups and downs. The community is split about 50/50, half the time you get really good teammates and fair killers, the other half of the time you get people who'd rather play every man for himself/people who just wait to be the last one standing for the hatch and either killers who are ruthless even to new players or killers that are just straight up lag hacking etc. But even if you lose a match, as either party, you still get points towards leveling up your characters, and you can use your points on anyone, even if you didn't earn them on that character. Dedicated servers are apparently on their way this summer, but I'm not holding my breath just yet. Honestly, the worst things I have to say about it are the players who are bad sports/like to cheat, and some of the newer cosmetics have flowy effects that jump and lag all over the place. You get a lot to pick from visually, and even if you don't have a specific DLC, if anyone else in the match has it, you can play on their maps/with those characters (as teammates). It's a good challenge for both sides without being impossible, and there are characters for every ability level, and most people who see you're new are lenient.

TLDR; Lots of cosmetic options, fair play styles, decent leveling system, some crappy people, but mostly good
