A good, but not great, RPG set in a beautiful world with weapons-based class system. The grind to 60 is long but exploring the scenery of the different regions made it more tolerable. Definitely feel like I got my money's worth and hope to see additional investment in the game.

This game is as addictive for me as Civilization... I've stayed up until 4am more times than I'd care to admit because I just needed to tweak this one supply chain a bit, but then I also needed a bit more ore, and some more smelters, and then more power, but I'm gonna be done any minute now.

Factorio won't be a game for everyone, but, man, I love this game. I've been playing it for years in early access and am happy 1.0 is finally out! The game has changed a lot, and there are more awesome mods available than ever before, so I'm looking forward to exploring all that 1.0 has to offer.

I mean, it's pretty good so far, but I'm only at ~1000 hours so I can't really say.

A lightly interactive story with great visuals, good ambiance, and good sound.

The game isn't exactly groundbreaking, but they managed to make a compelling project, and the students who made this should be very proud.

Early Access Review
It's definitely early access, but it's simply fun and worth the $15. Some of the last challenges were pretty difficult, but otherwise I finished all of the available campaigns in just a few hours. There is still clearly a lot of content to be developed, but I enjoyed what I found in this release. The game made me chuckle many times when I got to see a ballista hit a unit off the screen in to infinity and feel pretty satisfied when I could get a mob of weak units to wipe out far more powerful units with a little bit of strategy.

The good: Fun, simple game play that allows for many different ways to win through creative unit placement and unit combinations. The unit ragdoll motions can lead to some laughs. A reasonable amount of content is available now, enough to see where the developers are going with a game that shows good potential. Some decent replay value when trying to win missions with odd unit match ups or trying to win with something like only archers.

The bad: It has crashed twice on me during my limited game time. When it crashes you lose all progress on that level. Enemy units (especially bards) can get to places on the map where they are unreachable/unkillable (this affects at least two campaign missions) and you have to start the map over. There is no explanation of the unit strengths/weaknesses/damage/hp/etc, you have to learn unit mechanics through trial and error. Currently not all unit types are available, 4 categories are listed as "under development". There are quite a few campaign missions but many of them are very easy and can be completed in under a minute.

Verdict for early access: 7/10. I enjoyed it, hoping the developers continue to add content and finish the game.

I discovered Tropico only after 4 came out, and wow... how did I not know about this series? I bought Tropico 5 on launch day and promptly lost an entire weekend ruling as a dictator over a small island nation. Oh what a glorious leader I became; the people, they loved me. My bank account was flush and everything was wonderful! Then the communists started trying to change my liberal paradise... but I refused their demands! Those damn Russians sent warships to my shores, they threatened me, but I will not back down! Russia invaded my country and I was killed.

10/10 will continue to fight Communism (now with added diplomacy).

Amazing. As someone who grew up watching bad 80s action flicks this is just... wow. I loved it.

10/10 would have Tricericop as my partner.

I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. Not to say it was perfect, but it was quite, well, fun.

Some random thoughts:
It wasn't crazy difficult, the platformer gameplay wasn't necessarily original (felt a lot like Tomb Raider), but it was a good balance of action, puzzle solving and story.
The memory remix element is pretty interesting and isn't just a gimmick; it is crucial to the story.
The environments are gorgeous, but, even with my reasonably good gaming computer, I had some areas with pretty significant frame rate issues... game could use some optimization.
There are very few loading screens! They did a great job loading content on the fly.
The combat gets a little repetitive but it does in any game like this. Being able to create your own combos is nice. You also choose how to integrate healing and other elements in to your attacks.

Really fun, good story, great graphics, great voice acting! I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this game. I ended up using a lot of variety in my attacks/combos; it is NOT just a press attack to win type of game. Never crashed or encountered any significant bugs.
