To be honest, I'm surprised by the sheer number of idiotic reviews and arguments against the game. I thought that I would make a proper, big review to clear things out.
Hear me out and you won't regret it!

#1 The Gameplay

I personally adore the fact that it is THAT simple- you choose between 3 attacks with your 3 deployed cards. That's it. You don't need to plan 104821581 combinations of skills/spells/attacks, you just think about those 3 options and the game is very well built around it. The games are quite fast (some Warlords make them too long for my taste tho, looking at you, Tervigron) and fun, especially when you start to hit your ranked ceiling.

#2 Ranked

Ah yes, rankeds in this game. I've been playing the game for over a year, closing to 1,5 years currently. The ranked system, while not perfect, is VERY, VERY F2P-friendly. Why? You get rewards for climbing the ranks (free card packs, free gold, free premium currency) and you get a big bunch of goodies at the end of every season (which is about month long)- when you add this to the Free Packs (max 3 per day, every 8 hours) and Kill Packs (max 3 per day, every 8 hours), you can get A LOT of gold and premium currency (being Plasma) for free- the game really rewards you for activity. Fair warning tho- don't expect to hit the highest ranks in your first month. There is always a ranked ceiling that you can get- for me it is ~10 000 right now, for you it may be ~4000 at start, rising every month to a point, when you reach Terra for your first time. And it is a great feeling to reach it for the first time, trust me.

#3 Progress

The progress in the game may be the hardest thing to swallow early in the game, but in its harshness at start, it makes you feel more and more powerful the longer you play. It does it by increasing your total deck points every few levels (you get to the maximum of 199 points at level 63) and by leveling up your cards for gold. Those two really add up (especially in the early stages of your adventure) to make you feel like "Okay, I got more points/some cards leveled up, let's hit the ranked stage again and push for higher ranks". What really boosts your early-game progress are the Campaigns, which.... well....

#4 Campaigns
They are by far the most engaging and rewarding events happening in the game right now in my eyes. They are weekly (sometimes there are even two campaigns a week!), last for 2/3/5 days (it differs) and make you progress at two levels at once. The first one is the basic campaign progress- you're required to build a deck that is themed around the campaign (f.e. use Grey Knights in a Grey Knight-themed campaign) and for every kill that you score in the campaign, you get points (more if you theme the deck). The points unlock you cards. The point is, campaigns bring new cards to the game every week. To the F2P players out there- this is your way to get a good collection early in the game.
Be wary though, there is also a 2nd layer to the campaigns- it is the leaderboard, which gives you additional rewards for scoring the most wins during the campaign. In order to make things fair between lifeless tryhards and casual players, the campaigns have an Energy system- every Campaign fight uses 1 energy, but it slowly recharges over time (1 per 1,5h) up to a limit of 6. This allows you to easily get some sleep, unlike some other mobile games that force you to wake up in the middle of the night if you want to use all your possible energy during events.
Also, the game does not have things as "x2 your score for $$$" or "Watch and ad and receive free energy!" None of that. But, let's talk about it in detail, shall we?

#5 The Money
The game is really fair in terms of its in-app purcharses and does not invade you with constant pop-outs to buy ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bundles or watch ads to get some bonuses. The campaigns allow you to get fairly leveled up cards quickly (they tend to allow you to go to Tier 2 out of 4, so that's basically half of the card level up tree done for free) and the Free Packs / Kill Packs give you the premium currency- Plasma. Plasma can be used mainly to buy additional card packs/bundles- there are weekly Campaign Bundles (which give you a warlord of your choice, which is EXTRA valuable for new players that want to unlock all the warlords quickly) that you can easily buy for free just by getting the Plasma from ranked/packs during your routine gameplay and there are Bundles for 1000/2000/3000 plasma that are themed around something, f.e. a bunch of Grey Knight cards together- the bigger bundle you buy, the more profitable it is for you. But the thing is- you don't need to buy those and you don't need to spend money to get more Plasma in order to feel the progress in-game and be able to compete. In my career (coming close to 1,5 years, remind you) I have been able to reach Terra (highest ranked tier) after a year of playing and now I can easily get Top 1% in Campaigns when I'm active. Completely F2P. The game truly rewards your activity and deck-building skills (plus smart gameplay, of course) instead of throwing money at the screen and getting all done for you. Of course it will be faster progress when you pay- that's the point of it. But F2P progress is awesome, too- you feel your decks getting stronger and stronger and you can really compete in the leaderboards after some time commitment. The game is fair and non-intrusive, the Devs respect the hell out of the community and do lots of free giveaways to show their appreciation. Throwing some money at them should actually be done, because they deserve it for how well they treat they F2P players.

#6 Conclusions
The game is fun as hell, allows you to have a life and progress at full speed (most of mobile games require you to either throw money at them or sacrafice your life to Satan in order to progress at max speed) while being able to sleep without feeling like you're missing out on something. There are weekly updates to the game in form of Campaigns giving our new cards to players, lots of free giveaways from the Devs, monthly balance updates, the Devs are really active and open on Discord and they actually LISTEN to the community. Don't listen to the spoiled kiddos that say "omfg p2w ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, i can't defeat a guy that played this game for 2 years with my 2-day old account"- they didn't experience the progress, they didn't experience the campaign rewards, they didn't experience the ranked climb. If you have any more questions about the game, feel free to ask them under this review- I will gladly help you.

This game is truly the most player-friendly mobile game on the market that I have seen.
If I were to rate it, I'd gladly give it 9 out of 10- we need more Adeptus Mechanicus cards and an AdMech warlord to make it a 10, sorry Devs ;)
