Honestly, I wouldn't entirely recommend it yet, but I'm giving it a chance since it's so early in development. The controls feel janky, it feels very empty, and the fishing mechanic is extremely awkward. I do see the vision though and I can't wait to see where it goes and how fleshed out it can become. I hope more animal options (or at least a dog) become available, and maybe more things to do. Very cute idea so far, though.

Hardly even started playing and theres already loading issues and horrible censorship. I was really excited for the Steam release so I could comfortably play this game, and I was excited for the Rix Vanus and Guildmate Nextdoor collabs. But alas, the censorship really drags you out of it. Which is weird they had to censor the game when Steam allows porn games. But same thing happened with Dramatical Murder anyway so, guess I shouldn't have had my hopes up. I'll likely just try my luck with the APK on EroLabs instead.
And while I was writing this, the game had a maintenance pop up, making me close the game. It hasn't even been out for long.

I'm honestly debating if I should recommend this or not, but the game itself is good, so I will. However, the saving in this game is rather disappointing and stressful. with limited saves and only manual, it gets to a point where you lose the immersive and fun experience and it just gets repetitive and annoying.
It's also easy to get yourself stuck and the only way out when your blocked from all sides is to reload from save (however long ago that was) or spam buttons and hope it frees you.
Other than that, the game is good. Love the artstyle and OST, the story is interesting, and the characters are all really goofy. Here's to hoping I can finish this game without burning out from frustration haha

I love Brant and Qiuyuan so much, like so so much. They're consuming my thoughts, consuming my life. I wish they were real. God, they're perfect.

AHEM ! Anyway! That aside. I was a day one Genshin player. Played consistently for 4 years. And on and off for the last 1. I spent maybe around $250 CAD total during that time. Thousands of hours of my life. But, it got old, steered away from what i enjoyed about it, and was just not good anymore. And I gacha game hopped for a while. HSR on release. ZZZ on release. AFKJ on release. Dislyte. And a few more. But out of all of them, being a day one WuWa player with some breaks here and there, it's got quite the hold on me. Although I'm completely F2P right now, I would likely consider spending if i had the chance haha.

Well, I'll let you in on some pros and cons... using Genshin as a comparison/reference since it's the most well known atm.

Pros:
- Pretty F2P friendly, especially if you're like me and tend to save all your pulls until there's a specific character you want. I've managed to get 7 5-star characters (plus, Brant being s4r2, Verina being s1, Calcharo being s1, and Jianxin being s1, so I think 11 total plus one free).
- Weapons banner is ALWAYS guaranteed. No losing your weapon 50/50. . . or whatever rate Genshin is. And though you can use the same general currency (Astrites, same as Primogems), they have their own as well. Like how characters have Radiant Tides (like Genshin's Intertwined Fates), weapons use Forging Tides! So you can save separately and not have to dig into your character funds as much.
- Sprinting doesn't consume stamina outside of combat, which makes exploration more comfortable.
- Instead of slowly climbing walls, you can run up them (this also consumes stamina).
- There's a flight gadget, which makes exploration and movement so much faster, which has it's own stamina bar that can be increased.
- NO ANNOYING COMPANION! Although it's still a classic "always hungry" character, there's at least a reason behind it.
- You can change which MC you play as at any time, with a 24 hour cooldown.
- Insane animations and character gameplay. They all feel quite unique right now, and very captivating. With each new update, a new, crazy cool character releases and I'm always excited to see their animations.
- So far, no insane power creeping. Early release characters are still viable and, with the right builds, can still be pretty great. I still frequently use Jiyan, despite him being the first event 5-star.
- Most of the puzzles aren't insanely hard, but some still require a fair bit of thinking.
- The environments are GORGEOUS. Though things like the grass, layouts, or other things can feel unoriginal or reused, obviously, they're still amazing. The sky especially. It differs per region, and even some subareas, and its the most original aspect about these environments.
- Combat actually requires some skill (to an extent) and isn't just about making a decent team. You parry, dodge, counterattack, stun, and have to learn enemy attacks so you're not animation locked by crazy attacks lol. But there's usually a good amount of leeway, so it's not the most punishing thing to have a skill issue if you're just fighting most bosses or overworld enemies.
- Bosses respawn immediately, no waiting around for minutes just to farm the same thing. And overworld materials, like plants, respawn the next day.
- Weapon and skill materials are always available to farm, and depending on the weapon class, all the characters will use the same mats. Saves from farming and rotating multiple mats.
- You can farm Echos (like Genshin's Artifacts) at any time, since they're overworld enemies as well, not just domains. Though the EXP is a bit grind heavy and harder to get.
- Lots of free rewards! Each update hands out free pulls in a daily login event, and the gameplay/event rewards are pretty generous too.
- SKIP BUTTON! On nearly everything too! Even the main story line.
- The cutscenes are very insanely well animated. And I swear, they just get better and better!
- And most important of all, the JOJO'S REFERENCES. There's quite a lot of references to other media in general, especially with the achievement names, but god we love a good JoJo's reference.

Cons:
- The character designs are pretty repetitive and quite a few are. . . well . . . lacking. I'm hoping with the next region we'll have more unique designs, different from the last two regions.
- There are very, very few male characters. Out of the 39 currently playable characters, (two upcoming soon), there are 8 men (one upcoming). Same as just about any gacha game out there, but it'd be nice if there were more.
- Adding onto that, there aren't many 4-stars currently available. out of the 39 characters, only 11 are 4-stars. And out of those, only two are really useful and necessary for some of the 5-star units.
- There is an insane lack of skin colour diversity. Every character has the same skin tone. Which makes WuWa worse then Genshin in this aspect. But, it's unfortunately very common to see this in gacha games by Chinese or Japanese dev teams.
- Some of the fighting challenges are a bit tough and can take a couple tries and takes skill. Same goes for some of the late game content.
- Exploration progress in some areas is a bit annoying if you're like me and try to 100% it all. Earlier areas have lots of stuff that don't appear as trackable on the map or appear with the lootmapper (treasure compass). And later areas require tough challenges to be completed to count towards exploration.
- Not really any multiplayer content. If you play with friends or with random people online, you're pretty much just limited to farming together or helping with someone's exploration.

Also, if you're someone who's never played a gacha game before, this may feel slow paced, especially after reaching late game where you have to wait for content, but this is generic in the gacha scene as you wait for updates which bring new characters, environments, events, or whatever else it be.

TL;DR: it's all about your preferences. The environments and animations are beautiful, but the combat may be too action and skill heavy if you're more of a casual gamer. But! it is a free game, so it doesn't hurt to try!

Update no one cares about: I got s3r1 Qiuyuan ! Completely F2P

I wish I could still feel proud to recommend Infinity Nikki to people... but this update is atrocious.

1. I'm an early player. I've saved since I started playing and only pulled two five-star outfits and I'm out of gems. Not even enough for a single pull after my last outfit, which was the new Crimson Feather outfit. I was lucky to get it in 180 pulls, which used to be the max pity, but now the max pity has increased to 220? Actually insane. The pull rates have gotten worse, and are so expensive. 5-star outfits used to need up to about 9-10 pieces but now, the two new outfits have 11 pieces and require the full outfit to use their abilities. Which, when considering the fact that most the pieces in these outfits are either hidden or near perfect copies of previous outfit pieces, its disappointing.

2. The new dye system is actually trash. You get a couple free options, but everything else requires a new material, and most of these dye sets are locked behind item count and evolutions, which gets incredibly grind heavy or even requiring you to pay for outfit evolutions to get the colours you want. I was really excited for this feature since all the outfits so far have had the same colour palates and I enjoy dark, or even all black outfits, which we have a lack of, and I was so happy to see this feature be advertised so I could make the colour palates I want from outfits I like, but I can't even do that with how picky it is.

3. This update is incredibly bugged. It keeps crashing the game where it self closes on the player without warning, which have left myself and a friend a bit frustrated. It'll freeze, have errors pop up (like a steam account status error?) which you have to quit the game to remove, slow loading, and tons of multiplayer performance issues which makes it near impossible to play.
And the apology compensation feels pretty cheap for how disappointing this update is so far, and I'm not usually picky about free stuff. I really hope they fix these issues soon and improve the quality of the game. Before this update, it was a super enjoyable game and I would eagerly wait for the next update.

4. They secretly changed the Mira Crown, a game mode that allows players to get free rewards (up to roughly a 10 pull along with other resources), from a 14-day duration to be even longer. This restricts F2P players and limits their pulls. Baiting players to need to spend money as they will lack even more in free rewards. Pretty crazy considering their "budget wisely" message.

5. They keep silencing players by deleting discussions and reviews that express these concerns! As well as adding a threatening, bold message to their ToS!! Essentially stating that it restricts our rights as players. You can find it in another person's review. The devs don't really care about their players and just want more money.

6. More things require real life money. Including an outfit that wasn't advertised as needing to be purchased with real money in their livestream. And a $14 CAD bathtub???? Which is listed with the claim that the "original price" would've been $68?? Not worth it !! The shop is increasingly all pricey for the items which have no business being that costly.

tl;dr: the game is becoming increasingly P2W for copy paste outfits. with buggy new features, tons of game crashes, and grind heavy features. If you're a LADS player, you know Infold likes their high pull rates and getting money in their pockets, but this is very disappointing for a dress-up game.

EDIT: i would recommend this game even LESS now, after they decided to add outfits APPROPRIATING my culture. And the Soverign of sexy. SEXY. being Indigenous is in extremely bad taste as my people are severely oversexualized. Just plain awful...

With this being a recent release, there's bound to be some bugs or performance issues, but despite it all, I love this game. As a Canadian Indigenous person myself, it hits hard and I can relate to the anxieties the Indigenous characters are feeling. I'm not quite finished the game yet but I'm so into it. The style is really pretty and I'm obsessed with the scenery.

My only issue is the performance. My PC has the recommended hardware but even on the lowest graphics, it's laggy. It doesn't take away from my experience. I'm more than willing to push through performance issues to play a well written game with representation of my fellow Indigenous cultures. Despite being Ojibwe myself, a lot of our cultures are very similar and it was so comforting to see this in a game. It's hard to come across games with amazing representation like this, and truth about our history.

Apologies for the yap fest, tldr; I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants to learn more about Canadian and Indigenous history. It is basically a walking sim but it's enjoyable and very informative.

I absolutely LOVE this game. I'm obsessed. Hyperfixated even. Lately it's literally all I think about. I love theorising and headcanoning and picking it apart. Genuinely one of my favourite games. It's so well written, i love the style, and leaves enough room for theories and headcanons. I also really like that it experiments with seeing how the villain perceives the people around him, as well as seeing the character who supported the villain become a victim. Intentional or not, so many things have little meanings, implications, metaphors/analogies, and connections. This is easily one of my, if not my favourite psychological horror game ever. Highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys horror, especially psychological. Anyways, we all hate jimbotron or whatever his name was.
