Incredible what they've done as an open source tool. So glad I dont have to buy or use maya again.

Takes to long for Brendan Green to listen to the players on what they want.

Prereq: I already knew how to play and am not using this as a learning tool.

So far I have enjoyed this game and have learned some new songs from it but I think its to flashy. The notation for when and how to play notes can be very confusing (everything is super transparent and sometimes I just dont even see a note that I missed. This could somewhat be my own problem as I never did the tutorials so sometimes I just have to infer what their symbols mean on a note.

Other than that I love plugging in and just playing around with their tones library. I only owned a few physical pedals and rarely used them but now with the click of a button I can create my own sound. This is something I love about the software.

Minigames are fun but I can see how they could be annoying for roommates lol as some just involve endless strumming.

Definately a better choice than rockband or guitar here but I wish the sight reading was a bit easier.

Controls are clunky, camera movement is somewhat confusing, but the graphics and gameplay are good. I have more fun playing miniclip 2d pool though.

Looks like it was built on the Half-Life 1 engine.
