This has to be one of the best games I have ever played. I have enjoyed many hours on cold winter nights exploring Bitterblack Isle (Dark Arisen DLC) with each class/different builds. The Dark Arisen portion of this title is what keeps me coming back to this game, it adds new depth and a ton of re-playability to the title. Finding new ways to defeat bosses at low levels, trying different builds, or just trying to create the perfect pawn is, for me, a ton of fun.

The only cons in my book are that the main story isn't told very well, and the pawn chatter can be a bit repetitive and annoying (can be turned off), fast travel takes a while to unlock, but the game play and mechanics make up for all of that. All in all was well worth the money. If you like JRPGs and fun boss fights this is a good bet. It is worth mentioning that you can only have one save file, but you can make a family sharing account if you want a separate character, or just back up your save and start another game. I have several zipped saves I can switch to at will so this isn't really a problem. There is also a save game manager mod on nexusmods.

I don't own many games that I have played more than once but I have 600+ hours on this account and 600+ more on a Family sharing account. I think I am hooked on this game for some reason. It's just that good. In these days of games as a service, always online, micro transactions, day one DLC and AAA companies trying to milk every last cent out of us gamers this is a refreshing piece of art that will stand the test of time. I am 50+ years old and have seen video games evolve and this is a classic that deserves a sequel.

If you need help or just enjoy the game check out Nihil0.0, and wh1sper 123 on YouTube make great videos exploring the mechanics of the game and they still make regular videos and probably will continue to do so, as they love this game as much as I do.

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen also has some pretty good mods available on the nexus, mainly texture replacements. I would highly recommend the Japanese Voice replacement mod that puts the original Japanese Voice Actors back in. They put so much emotion into the characters its worth at least one play through in its original language.

TLDR: I love this game for all it's faults and all it gets spot on, I can't say enough about it, but I think I have. Sorry for the long rambling review. 11/10
