The spiritual successor to the RollerCoaster Tycoon series. Probably the best sim/tycoon game I've ever played. Easily rivals if not better than RCT1 and 2.
Satisfying animations, Isometric and 3D views, some of the most in depth decorating/building I've played in a sim game, Steam workshop support to share creations and download mods, and pretty seamless multiplayer, to name a few features. It's basically RCT with decorating and more in depth staff management/shop logistics. All time Classic.

Been a Battlefield fan since BF3. Was really excited for this game during beta and on release and I thought as long as some things get fixed it could be one of the best BF games. As it turns out, improvements did not come and I notice things that make the game feel worse and worse every day I play. Gameplay was infinitely better in the beta. Bugs are still everywhere. Incendiary grenades will burn you from 10 feet away and through walls. There's zero consistancy in what you can and can't shoot through. Phantom Edition Recon skin still has its gloves textures completely missing so your hands are literally invisible. The chat box doesn't work 80% of the time. Hitmarkers randomly turn off mid game and then turn back on. Randomly teleporting after being revived. Desync is still horrendous and you get shot around corners at least a few times in a match. AND NOW to top it all off they've started using Generative AI in their cosmetics (Some of which you have to pay for...) Vehicle balance is horrendous and majority of maps are incredibly mid or bad with the exception of Siege of Cairo. One thing they do get right is gun balance as almost every gun in this game is viable but that could be just because TTK is so abysmally low (Which in turn makes the skill gap incredibly low too). Having this many issues on a battlefield release is par for the course but It still doesn't make the problems okay and they're still very frustrating to deal with.

The game itself is very good and fills the hole that Battlerite left. Still needs a few things to be worked out imo such as

Character Designs: Some character designs are absolute hits (Oath, Felix, Elluna, Joulle, Kingpin all come to mind) while some others feel really boring. Shrike, Celeste, and Jin just don't have enough going on visually other than them being attractive. Zeph and Bishop also feel almost a little too bland. I feel like this is really important for people being compelled to try the game and wanting to play the characters.

Melee Characters: For some reason melee characters just feel so unfun to play against. I guess it would be because of their movement abilities and the fact that if you miss part of your combo on them (Which isn't hard to do because of their movement) you basically just lose the fight against them. This probably applies more to Brall than Jin but both are still pretty frustrating to play against. They can also just stick onto you forever which is also really unfun. I play bishop a lot and having 3 rocket jumps is sometimes still not enough to get away from Brall.

Shop: They announced the rotating store would be gone on december 18 so that's a plus but I still don't like how you have to pay so much for different colors of skins. You should just be able to purchase whatever skin color you want without having to purchase the color before it.

Items: Item system feels really inconsequential. Like a majority of the evolutions for the items just don't feel that good or unique enough to have much agency in choosing a build/playstyle.

Edit: Server routing issues to NA East have been fixed!

Possibly the greatest piece of DLC content I've ever played for a video game. It's really not DLC, it's a whole new game inside of Elden Ring. They took the base game's exploration and cranked it up to 11. It's so satisfying finding the scadutree upgrades on top of finding cool new items and the areas are jam packed with content and secrets to find. The visuals of these areas are breathtaking even more so than the base game... I didn't even know that this was possible but it's somehow Elden Ring at its prettiest. It looks amazing and I can't state this enough.
I also enjoy the music tracks quite a bit more than the base game but that might just be personal preference. They feel so emotional and a lot more impactful to me. Boss design is harder and they deal way more damage so builds must account for it by building proper defense. (Opaline Hardtear + Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman + Boiled Crab will help greatly) Also progression seems to be balanced mostly around finding scadutree fragments and revered spirit ash upgrades so this encourages exploration. Performance at first was a little iffy as I was dropping down to 50 frames at times but over time it smoothed out and I rarely experience frame drops now. Overall this DLC has treated me extremely well especially on serving my exploration side. There have been so many moments where I am just in awe of this game and I really recommend it if you're looking for another challenge/fun time with Elden Ring.

The gameplay is just killing npcs over and over again until you die with very little thought to it. Then you respawn and do it again. It's pretty brainless and only fun for a few hours in short sessions. There are different strategies you can employ to make things a little more interesting but usually it's just killing something in different way. (Stealth seems pretty interesting but it doesn't feel fleshed out enough to be fun enough yet) I'd say what keeps people playing is the unlockables, and how easy the game is, but gameplay wise its not too special compared to other PVE shooters.

The game has an insane amount of bugs. While I can do my duty and exterminate the ones attacking me on screen, I unfortunately can't really deal with ones that affect my game. I'd probably run into one or two every mission. (Mostly my character getting stuck in terrain or a certain action just not working). Oftentimes I'd notice a lot of server issues that would result in weird laggy scenarios where damage wouldn't be calculated correctly or getting hit by something that didn't actually look to hit your character, which results in a lot of frustration.

I don't mind dealing with some of these issues and paying 50$ for it, but having micro transactions on top of that, (Especially for items that can be considered Best in slot) is pretty scummy and I'm surprised so many people overlook it. It's ultimately not the biggest deal though, due to only being a PVE game and being able to earn credits in game. Another thing that seems to be forgotten about: Why does a PVE game need a kernel level anticheat that continues to run even after I close the game? There are so many small issues with this game that seem to go untalked about and I can't, with a good conscience, recommend it with a 50$ pricetag and microtransactions. To top off all of these problems with just the game itself, Sony has decided to mess everything up that this game has done right and is now restricting players into making PSN accounts. It really is a shame.

EDIT: The last part is no longer true. The game is still not purchasable in many territories around the world but you no longer have to make a PSN account.

This game has one of the most fun combat systems for an MMO. I would say the closest game to GW2 is ESO at least in terms of combat. Every other MMO I've played absolutely pales in comparison. Especially coming from FFXIV, where I fall asleep doing the same rotation for 800th time with no variation. In GW2 you've got skills you choose from and also skills you get from the weapon you currently have equipped. This means min-maxing and meta's for skill bars but also lots of customisation and variety. Not to mention once you hit 80 there's now 3 specs for each class with new abilites and new ways the class functions. There's like 8 other layers to the combat system including combo fields, breakbars and dodge roll mechanics but delving into them would make this way too long. I also really enjoy how easy it is to level so making alts is no problem. The mount system is so refreshing, each mount actually means something and is not just a reskin of eachother. I've been playing for a couple years now and it's my favourite MMO so far, mostly due to it's combat and map design. (Also Jump Puzzles :D)

A good pair of headphones and dac/amp will make this game sound ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing. The sound design of this game is seriously some of the best i have ever seen in any multiplayer video game. It really makes you feel like the things happening around you are actually happening. Game feels good and is fun as ♥♥♥♥ too. Maybe just work on optimization issues otherwise its such an amazing game.
