I REALLY suck at this game, but god it's still such a good game. Apart from Smash Bros I never really clicked with other platform fighters, but this game just RULES. It controls great, plays great (although the menu is somewhat slower than I would have liked), has such great character designs AND each character plays unique in a fun way (although I can't really click with Forsburn as of yet haha). Waited quite a bit of time since the free open playtest a while back but I'm glad to finally have this game in my Library!

Although it's been a bit since I played on PC, I HAVE been playing on other platforms and the game just holds up so well! Plays great, looks great, has great level ideas and very fun characters to interact with. Alpine Skyline is my least favourite world, but even that is still a fun one to play through, so I can't recommend this game enough even after all these years. The addition of the workshop a few years ago even made this game something without an actual end, and there are A LOT of high quality and fun levels to play through over there as well.

I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said about the game: it's peak I'm afraid. It's the perfect blend between simple / easy to pick up and hard to master. The idea of having 1 bar being EVERYTHING is great for both the UI design and the game design itself. Peak being only 7-ish bucks is a steal for how fun the game is, and the fact the mountain changes every single day keeps it very replayable in a fun way.

Looking forward to the future updates, since I am enjoying the Mesa a lot!

I can't recommend Ultimate Chicken Horse enough, even after all these years the game still holds up great! I would have liked to see a MUCH bigger amount of placable objects, but it's still fun as it is now. I'm still SUPER impressed just how long Clever Endeavour kept this game alive with free updates, and I am very much looking forward to playing Ultimate Racoon Sheep when it releases!

Cheap and incredibly fun with friends! The gameplay is simple but super effective, even the friends I played with that have never toutched a tetris-like game had fun playing it so that tells me all I need. Most of my hours are not on steam so my playcount doesn't really match how much I played the game in total, but this one comes highly recomended!

I wanted to like the game, I really did, but every time I find something to like I find 5 things I don't. The amount of backtracking (although it's less then in previous updates) the weird way of evolving / leveling, the stamina system which doesn't click with me and the incredibly AWFUL economy in the game, with the biggest complaint of all being that you HAVE to be online at all times, which is a bummer for a Steamdeck user like me. Visually the game looks mostly amazing, the world and the temtem designs / models themselves look great and I love the designs on most of them, but the humans look.... unpolished and out of place which is a bummer, since looking at the creatures I know the team is able to make some great looking designs. I would say the game was worth a try, but 45 bucks is a bit too steep for a creature collector that I just did not want to finish. I do hope the studio has learned from the experience and will make bigger and better things in the future, since I can see the passion behind the project.

Although it might be a tad too soon for me to leave this review, but Wilds just clicks so much more with me then MH World ever did! Movement feels fluid and fun, the world en monsters look great and it has close to all the quality of life changes from the past few games which only enhance the experience for me. Only complaint would be the somewhat poor optimisation (I don't think my pc is bad at all, but to get a solid 80 fps framerate some textures become just an awfull mess of pixels, luckily is mostly only on human characters or textures in the hub areas).

Still a bit annoyed that THEY DID NOT FIX THE THING WITH STORY QUESTs WHERE I AM ABLE TO INVITE PLAYERS TO MY HUNT ONLY AFTER THE CUTSCENES HAVE FINISHED. Overal a great game and I am looking forward to playing it a whole lot more :)

Visually an amazing game with no low points to speak of, gameplay is also mostly very fun with some complications here and there (sometimes using ranged attacks was somewhat meddlesome and the physical attack range was not always what I thought it’d be) but my biggest complaint has to be the story. I was HOOKED with the story, world building and characters until a certain points where everything came to a halt and after that I just never felt the same excitement about everything that I had before. The ending also felt very rushed and just not very satisfying for me which painted the game in a somewhat negative light for me…

Feel like the game is still worth a try, but maybe wait for a sale.

Somewhat simple, but SUPER fun to play with friends, the contrast of actually having to look for the monsters instead of solely running away from them is a twist that works incredibly well, the fact that you can download your created video’s for later viewing is also incredible but I do kinda wish the game itself saved like the last few created movies somewhere in case the player forgot to press download.

It has been a while since the last content update was released (and I don’t expect another one either) which is fine but it does become stale sometimes, and a lot of the funny monsters that were added have quite a low spawn rate which is kinda sad cause I know there are a lot more funny creatures instead of only seeing the snails, spike ball guys & fire breathing creature that we encounter almost every game.

With all this out of the way, if you have a group of friends with the same humor I can’t recommend this game enough!

Early Access Review
I’m so mixed about the current state of the game. I was a HUGE fan of the game when it was in it’s early-early access state, but they kept adding more and more gameplay elements in a way I kinda dislike and the gameplay felt more annoying then difficult in it’s current state for me. Still really like the concept but I kinda wish some things were reverted to how they once were (especially the shop, it was super simple in the past but now it’s annoying and really cumbersome).

Overall still a fun game to play with friends, but it definitely has seen better days.
