really solid game. the gameplay loop is pretty fun, and it makes for a pretty good game to play during downtime since the runs are so short. as for cons, the story is a little thin, and the gameplay gets a little repetitive, but overall neither of these drag it down much. i recommend it.

in terms of genre, it's something like a warriors game, with a bunch of other mechanics like active skills and character swaps and super moves. at first i felt like it was somewhat overwhelming, keeping track of so many bars and meters, but it's ultimately fine? you get used to it. spells are kinda meh overall though, since you have to craft a resource to keep using them. the enemies can kind of be health sponges, and a lot of the time you can mitigate this by getting your perfect dodges down, but this strat doesn't really work for enemies that mostly use ranged attacks.

the story is about a proper holy grail war, no less than the ones in the other fate side novels, like fate/apocrypha or fate/requiem. the real highlight is the characters, and the dynamics they have. saber & iori have a great dynamic that runs parallel to shirou and saber's relationship from fate/stay night. the other masters, in particular, archer and his master, also play off each other fairly well. the villains of the story are a little... thin though. they lack the same depth that the heroes have.

graphically... it's fine? no complaints. the noble phantasms are cool, and the properly animated cutscenes are a treat to see. iori and saber's animations in particular are a nice spectacle to see.
audio... also fine? no stand out audio tracks, but nothing terrible. the voice acting is great.

DO keep in mind that you'll have to play the game twice to get the true ending of the game. you'll also want to drop a save towards the end if you want to avoid playing it a THIRD time. i lost patience with the game during my new game+ playthrough and didn't end up doing the extra "super boss" fights that unlock exclusively in new game+, but the game isn't too hard to go through a second time if you do just ignore those fights and focus on the story ones.

overall, pretty solid game. i'd recommend it.

hey this one's really good

It's not a perfect game by any means, but I'd still recommend it. It's a little infodump-y tbh.

50% of the puzzles are just giving instructions to the other person.

Pretty good overall. There's a pretty high ceiling for mastery, but I feel like you aren't necessarily rewarded for it; it's not feasible to combo bosses well, and it's not like you get anything for comboing normal enemies. Also, the last phase of the last boss... it has a gimmick that feels cool, but effectively makes all the upgrades you got moot. So if you spent time 100%ing the game and getting every upgrade, they'll feel wasted at the very end. All that said, the game as a whole feels fun to play.

It's maybe gets a little slow at times, and a lot of characters get set up to do things, but never get the chance to do anything, which kinda sucks, but overall it's pretty good.
