Wartales is an amazing game.

Most of the negative reviews are from players expressing their frustrations with the DLC... rightfully so. (I own all of them.)

The mixed review is misleading, the game, the world, the action, and the characters you make are amazing. The systems in place make this a great thought out turn based game. I cant express how much content the base game has, and you don't need any of the DLCs the game is perfectly fine 100% base. Don't be misguided about the mixed review, just try it out and enjoy yourself.

Solid 9/10 worth 35$ for minimum of 60 plus hours.

I bought this game 10/31/2025 played for 1.5 hours, somehow game says I have 31 hours played which isn't possible in one day. Not sure what the game is tracking for time played. The building part of the game is slow compared to AI, the units dont respond well to commands. Can't recommend, really cool idea and cool visuals but I cannot recommend until game is patched to all hell for QOL alone, better unit response, better explanation of mechanics or details of what is going on. Refunded game, but would be interested in playing when more then a play test.

Fun workout

Games' online is barely functional and you cant play with friends. Please stop making early access games that are incomplete so people spend money. Lets make gaming great again and make all video game creators release the full product or get no money at all!
