This is Marathon: Epistemic horror that makes you think you're playing a PVPVE game but you're actually a plaything, a roach, for corporations and the more you strive to achieve the more you play into their trap. no notes. 10/10

The dithering in the dungeon representing light and having it breathe? y'all - this game is so good. Amazing. Fun, easy to get into, impossible to stop playing.

Decent game. The concept of unlocking upgrades via "islands" and raiding is unique among the genre.

Fun game. Kept me for ~30 hours, plus some grinding for unlocks and stuff. Excited to see where this ends up, but it'll need a lot more depth in crafting and progression than runes and one weapon per character.

Where to begin? If you're a fan of Age of Empires II, Command and Conquer: Generals, or the real time strategy genre in general, this should be an instant buy.

Consider this the perfect example of a "comp stomp" survival game, where you need to overcome all odds in order to survive. Overbuild your defenses, and your economy will crash. Build too many units? They'll get wiped out by the horde.

Balance, then, is the name of the game. You must balance all things:

- You need to provide a large economy to expand your colony without breaking the bank. If you go too quickly and over extend, a single zombie getting through can end the game.

- Making a mistake and letting a slow, lumbering zombie through a minute chokepoint you didn't realize was there? Game Over, and it's your fault.

- Sitting around waiting for the next tick of resources means time wasted. You don't NEED to be an APM superstar, since you can (bless) pause the game at any point to consider your options. Do you go in the "action" mode, or the "strategic" mode?

It took me 70 hours to beat the first map on the easiest difficulty I could still progress. I ca'nt wait to burn another 100 hours beating the same randomly generated map over and over again.

I love this game. I can't wait for the campaign, for bug fixes, for improvements, and for the love of zombie jesus: Please give us cooperative multiplayer!
