If I'm not mistaken this might be my first review ever. If it isn't I think my other one might be for Portal 2. That should say something within itself there but if it doesn't:

Buy this game. Do you even need to buy this game? idk. I'd buy it again if I had to. And everything that comes with it. Every board. Every skin. Every card.

First let it be said: They perfected it from Witcher 3. The layout, game meta, general idea is still all the same but for example there's only 2 rows melee and ranged in Gwent unlike the 3 rows from W3 and individual cards have a very very large array of abilities and quirks.

This is probably the best card game I've ever played. I tried a few of "real" card games like yugioh, pokemon, magic, and imo its most similar and as strategic leaning more to the M:TG. I'm no means pro or even know anything "deep" about those games besides mechanics so take this how you will.

As a person who loves math, this game tickles something deep down as I'm calculating how the rounds end with very many "conditional" triggers that cards have (for example if you boost a cards healthy by 1, it damages an enemy unit's health by 1)

I'm sure there's glaring problems with the game that I cant see cause I'm simply not that good and dont have that many hours, but this is one of thoe games that I deem near perfect. Concept and execution wise. Much like Portal 2 in the sense that they nailed the overall feeling, game flow, sounds, visuals.

Try it out and unlock kegs to build upon your deck. Starter decks are (ok) but once you craft more (with the VERY VERY GENEROUS in-game currency, not actual money) your cards synergize amazingly and the flow of the game picks up quickly. Your deck will then become personalized to the things you want to try to pull off and you'll find the perfect card to connect the missing links

I bought this game 4 days ago, I have 24 hours on record. It's great. You must enjoy games like shadow of mordor/skyrim/assassin's creed and you'll love this. First game I actually have to refer to the monster glossary. You know that thing that always gets updated but you never look through except when you get bored enough to the point when you go "star cleaning" all you menus?

yeah.

that thing is going to be your best friend.
10/10 easy. I'm only level 8. I have a quest waiting for when I reach 32. Holy crap I can't imagine what's going to happen inbetween
