Game has massively improved since release. Mounts/raids/mutated dungeons/arenas/world pvp. Definitely worth a shot even if you wait for it to go on sale.

Pros:
+Decent story, long too if you decide to do the side quests.
+Fun game play.
+Decent endgame. Expeditions full of new content that you can play from tiers 1-15.
+Large assortment of mods and character builds and crafting.

Cons:
-Tier scaling. Once you clear a higher tier of expedition the lower ones scale up. So if someone carried you through a tier you shouldn't be at. Good luck progressing solo from there on.
-Bugs! So many bugs and crashes. Character gear deleted and char inaccessible, random exploding sounds on loading screens, fps randomly caps at 60, enemies just stop spawning in expedition making you unable to go to the next area, skills sometimes not working properly, multiplayer desync (not unplayable).

Even with the bugs the game is still decent. But since I do like playing it I will reluctantly give it a thumbs up.
