I watched some reviews of AoE4, but it didn’t catch my interest. I grabbed it on sale and man, it’s awesome. The campaign is super fun. I love taking it slow, building a huge army, and just rolling over everything. I can already tell this game will eat hundreds of hours. Haven’t even touched skirmish or online yet.

This isn’t your typical RTS—it leans more toward simplified management, built with controller gameplay in mind. So if you're looking for deep mechanics like Age of Empires, this might not be it.

But if you’re a Halo fan, this hits a sweet spot.
Commanding squads of Marines, rolling out Scorpions and Warthogs, deploying ODSTs, sending in Falcons and Vultures—it feels so good. Watching the battlefield fill with familiar UNSC firepower while slaughtering waves of Covenant is just plain satisfying.

I’m really enjoying it so far. And when it's on sale? It's dirt cheap.
If you love the Halo universe, this is absolutely worth grabbing.

A sniper’s paradise — even better with a good crew.

Pros:

Maps are huge — you could easily spend 1–2 hours on a single map.
Good level design.
The soundtrack is decent.
For players like me who are too lazy to follow the story, co-op play is a blessing — you can team up with a friend and jump right in.
4-player survival mode is also quite enjoyable.

Cons:

Limited selection of guns.
You can’t choose your character unless you've completed the story once.
The devs seem a bit lazy — you'll notice reused assets all over the place.
It’s a shame you can’t kill Hitler in a WW2 Nazi-butchering game without paying extra. If you want to take down the warlord, you’ve gotta spend more cash.

Is this game worth your penny?
ummm, wait for sale and grab the deal!

Police Stories is a refreshing take on the tactical shooter genre with a 2D perspective that packs a lot of punch. The minimalist art style really works here—it’s clear, effective, and adds to the tense, tactical nature of the game.

One of the standout features is how much more enjoyable the game becomes when playing with friends. The cooperative mechanics shine here, as you and your teammates work together to plan and execute your missions. Communication and coordination are key, and the tension of each new encounter is heightened when you're working as a unit, trying to subdue criminals without risking collateral damage. Solo play is still solid, but there's something about the teamwork that makes this game far more rewarding with others.
The level design is a real highlight. Each level feels meticulously crafted, requiring careful planning and strategy to complete. You'll need to think on your feet as you move through different environments, balancing speed with caution. The rooms are filled with dangers and civilians that need to be handled delicately. One wrong move, and it could all go south. The variety of locations keeps things interesting, from tight, claustrophobic apartments to open areas that demand quick reflexes.

As for difficulty, Police Stories is no walk in the park. The game doesn't hold your hand, and that's what makes it so engaging. Even when you think you've got a plan in place, unexpected challenges will make you rethink your approach. The tension from the constant threat of failure and the reward of finally succeeding makes every mission feel significant.

In conclusion, Police Stories offers a challenging and rewarding experience, especially when played with friends. Its 2D perspective, smart level design, and tough but engaging gameplay make it a standout in the tactical shooter space. If you're looking for something that tests your strategic thinking and coordination skills, this game delivers in spades.

$8 for a 25min campaign game.
They could have easily bundled all four games together into a single comprehensive remake, offering players the chance to experience them all in one package.
