It's a fun game. Properly cozy vibes, and a satisfying game loop!

And with friends? Even better!

This is a fantastic gem of a game. Not widely known, but widely enjoyed

The Pros:
Playing without the upgrade is no different to playing with, it's only cosmetics!
Fun for Multiplayer or Singleplayer. PvP or PvE (server dependant)
Make it as relaxing or as hard as you like, and anywhere in between!
Lots of basic maps, including curated maps for you to explore
Maps are varied with different objectives/secrets to find
Plenty of workshop support!
Variety of gameplay from Farming and Crafting to Murdering Zombies and repairing weapons (if you like)
Survival can be taylored to be a walk in the park or a "Im going to die in 3 seconds"
Variety of items, vehicles, weapons, just everything! but nothing feels out of place

The Cons:
Vehicle handling can be funky sometimes
Can't easily have multiple saves on singleplayer worlds
Vehicles don't have local storage, but you can build it on (which can look silly)
Inventory management is a pain from mid-game onwards (even early game sometimes)

If this game was $20 it would be worth it, and it's free, so why are you reading this? Just download it and give it a try! Worth every moment i've played

As someone who never played these games during my childhood, I can say this is a 100% valuable buy. It holds so much character and fun, while being something pretty to look at!

If you're someone who loved to 100% games like Spyro, the item collector in you will love this. If you're someone who loved being able to unlock silly things like big head mode, or baguette Sabers, you'll love this.

So many characters to unlock, places to see. If it's on sale I wouldn't even wait.

Early Access Review
Valheim is fantastic for something that's early access!
I have spent almost 100 hours in game, and i'm still not even slightly close to getting bored. So here's some pros and cons!

Pros-
-Combat is simple, but challenging and fun
-Building system includes details like requiring support, chimneys if you have fire inside etc to make building anything a really fun challenge
-Progression through the game feels equally paced and rarely drags (more on that)
-Enemy types are varied enough to make you feel like you're always learning, but not too much to make it complex
-Playing with friends is just another fold of excellency that the game adds!
-World is Vast and endless to explore
-Edge of the world killed me, was EXCELLENT!!!

Cons-
-The building grid can be a bit finiky at times
-World saves ALWAYS hitch the game, not game breaking, just frustrating
-The REQUIREMENT for ore to be shipped/carted back to base as opposed to using teleportation is frustrating, feels like it's there just to be a time sink
-Terrain manipulation NEEDS to be worked on. Getting perfectly level ground is seemingly impossible 9/10 times without serious time commitment, even in "creative"* mode. The ground mapping is also very buggy at times, creating holes or spears of earth seemingly at random at times.

That all being said, the game is still immensely fun! The ore grind can be relaxing with a podcast or music, and building your first viking home feels rewarding! I will never get tired of building. Now just suggestions as this is early access and most of the cons I mentioned are almost certainly down to it still being a baby of a game

*suggestions*
-Fix. Earth. Manipulation. P L E A S E
-Add more cart models or upgrades. The wooden cart is good, but having something that could be dragged by a tamed animal, or even just having a stronger cart would be great!
-Remove, or bump up the max height of the ground raising by 50% or so. Large raised bases are next to impossible to make on most terrain without terracing
-FIX GROUND MANIPULATION PLEASE

Final thoughts?
This game is worth EVERY DOLLAR AND CENT. Even in it's early access state, it's hours of fun and provides both engaging and relaxing gameplay, perfect for any occasion, and an art style that reminds me of Runescape, but modern and pretty. Worth Every Cent. Looking forward to seeing where this goes in the future

TL;DR If this is on sale, it's worth it, otherwise hold out, because you'll most likely feel like you got less value for money

I'm only just under 3 hours into the story itself but here's my review so far

Rage 2 is Dooms gunplay, meets Borderlands Chaos, meets Mad Max's open world. It's a fun game to play. It's by no means the best game story in the world, but it's fun enough so who cares! The characters seem to have a great weirdness to them, and I do love the main characters nonchalant attitude. The open world really does remind me of the Mad Max game, with camps, convoys, and random skirmish's popping up wherever you drive, even with friendlies and racers around the world, making it feel much more alive that RAGE 1. All in all so far it's a fantastically fun game to play. HOWEVER I would NOT say it's fun enough to warrant it's full price. I got this for $32AUD and I feel that's the sweet spot for price, not the $99.95AUD.

So the bad news first:
- Development team seems to have stopped updating and supporting the game as they used to after February 2019
- There are visual bugs that can be annoying at times, but major bugs seem to be few and far between
- The Combat system isn't deep at all. Just outlast your opponent and spam click. No defense or real tactics involved beyond using ranged weapons to soften a target
- In-Game progression doesn't give much replay value as the achievements give items (IMO) that cut some of the fun out
- Water makes no sense???? Why did they turn it into a solid! Underwater elements could have been quite amazing
- Low player numbers mean it'll be a mostly (if not exclusively) single player experience
-Enchantment is broken with only one slot per item, where 3 slots should be available.

Now what's redeeming about this game? This is it:
- Unique visual style
- Visually customizable characters/armor/items... next to everything. Which is a lot of fun
- Thought out map layout. However only one map so you'd better get used to playing the same area, as large as it is
- New Tool types for each new material type.
- Great item variety

All in all. This game isn't worth the $22 IMO. $5-$10 maybe? But it's up to you in the end. It's charming, and can be fun if you have friends to play with. But don't expect anything too revolutionary with no more updates on the horizon. If the dev team comes back and gives new content, then that might change

This game has matured quite well from release. It has so many of the features it promised, and feels so much more like the game we were promised. Planets feel more alive and vary much more, Orbital stations feel more alive and well thought out, There is more story here to follow that is genuinely interesting. Everything feels better. The past few patches it quietly recieved helped, but NMS Next has gotten it, IMO, over the line.

There are some things i'd like looked at and refined, such as the building interface, as placing pieces into the landscape can be quite frustrating at times, but otherwise, from what i've seen so far, It has become the game it wanted to be In 2016 it was a 1/5 if we were nice. Now, it's 2018 score IMO is much more a 4/5

TL;DR
Patches have made it into what it should be
Building still needs work to make it easier to place things.
Went from 1/5 to a 4/5

I'll start off by saying IF YOUR COMPUTER CAN'T RUN VULKAN, DON'T GET THIS GAME

Simple advice that could have saved me a lot of money and pain that wasn't advertised anywhere on the box I bought. I have an older card that would be more than capable that is just sadly out of date, so I was forced to play on an underpowered computer, at low res with low FPS. So i'll just be looking at the story

It opens right where you left off, which is great. You can run the games right into eachother. The story is at times confronting, but also funny. Sometimes the humor was really well timed, others it felt out of place and detracted from otherwise great emotional moments. It won't always feel like the game knows what it's trying to be, if it's trying to be serious, or take the piss. However, as a Wolfenstein game, I feel that it can work, just not all the time. There is more than enough story this time, Something "The old Blood" suffered majorly in lacking.

The gameplay mechanics felt like they were well suited, but as I was playing on an underpowered computer with low FPS I cannot make further comment

TL:DR
Great story, (Probably) good mechanics. DON'T GET IF YOU CAN'T RUN VULKAN.

Early Access Review
I'll cut to the chase, If you don't like taking time to do things in game (like 2 or 3 hours to do 1 or 2 tasks) or if you don't have patience, this isn't for you. However, if you're an avid fan of the exploration front of our lives, this might be for you. The pictures and previews of the game aren't excatly accurate, BUT one day will be. And when it is, oh ho ho, man it will be amazing.

Personally, I think this game is amazing. Even in early access there is so much to do and so much excitement to be had in doing it. That being said though, I know there will be alot of people who disagree and straight hate this game. It's easy to understand why though. This game is for those who want to take their time and don't mind taking literally hours to do one little thing.

Now onto the bugs. Of course there are bugs, glitches and pieces of incomplete game, it's Early Access! what do you expect? There was a glitch I came across where (Because I was finishing up for the night and only just started on the scenario) I took off my spacesuit and exposed myself to the vaccume of space on the moon. While I was expecting a rather quick death, there was a noticable delay in the decompression of the small rover airlock (about 5 seconds). During the breath phase I closed the airlock but died. Oh well. They've offered a respawn button for now but I repawned half in the cabin, half in space and almost died again.

During the first scenario on Mars, I noticed there was a hole in the mountain. Now not the regular kind of hole but the one that let's you crouch under and walk inside the mountain. Simple incomplete texture.

While roving on Mars, It took multipul attempts to scan one area while clearly inside the atmospheric scan zone using the correct instuments.

There are also many parts of the training yet to be finished (which again, Early Access, it was expected).

All in all, This game has one hell of a lot of promise and potential, which I am excited to see released. there will be patches along the way and many MANY additions but I look forward to every single one of them. Sure it's rough around the edges, and I probably sound extremely forgiving for this game, but it's because I can see it will be amazing and fun.

Small area to target but you hit the nail on the head! Absolutely amazing work guys! I look forward to the future of this!
