Game is alright but severely overrated. I really enjoyed the story and visuals and that's ultimately what kept me going. This is by far one of the most difficult games I've ever played and there were several bosses that took me hours to overcome, and I've beaten many other challenging games in this genre. Unfortunately, that difficulty didn't feel rewarding like Sekiro or Silksong where you learn from your mistakes each time. In well developed games like this, it feels like your fault when you lose and you can see where your mistakes led to failure. This game just doesn't give me that impression. It always feels cheep, like unreadable attacks, fighting the camera, or gimmicks. This turns every obstacle into pure frustration. The pacing is horrendous, the difficulty randomly spikes. The introductory area almost got me to refund. The combat was not at all intuitive and requires a different approach than similar games. It feels so janky. It took me forever to figure out how the heavy attack worked because there are times it's a toggle, there are times it's a part of the moveset, and there are times where you stand there for over a second before finally beginning the attack. After working through the initial difficulty and learning curve, the game became fun during Chapter 3 until the end of Chapter 4 where it hit another massive difficulty spike. Chapter 5 and the bulk of Chapter 6 are again really easy. However, Chapter 6 is so poorly designed I almost put the game down. The last area is so poorly conceived it wastes a massive amount of your time. The cricket encounter is infuriating and requires gimmicks to solve that are not at all obvious. The final boss of the game was pure frustration. Not allowing you to hit the boss consistently and using cheap moves that steal your healing, teleport and backflip from your strong attacks just make the fight take absolutely forever. Having to do it many times is just mind numbing. The mid-fight cinematics peppered throughout the game are frustrating as they can prematurely end costly once-per-encounter spells and then if the boss takes several attempts you have to sit through them and they can take forever. Even the skip feature is limited, leaving a good deal on the beginning and end of the cinematic. I wanted to complete the game since I purchased it but I'm so happy its over.

Good survival game. Was fun with friends. I didn't finish it as the tedium toward the end became a bit much. The spiders are freaky.

There is a solid foundation of fun buried under tedium. I really enjoyed the concept and some of the slower gameplay and the large number of parts you had to keep track of. However, I ended up in a situation where I ran out of Repair Putty, so I went on expeditions to find Chemicals. I went on 4 expeditions to areas where there are supposed to be Chemicals. Each journey takes a toll on your car so I'd maybe find 1 Chemicals but take way more damage than it would help. My progress through the story came to a grinding halt because of this one component. Too annoying to continue.

It's really fun at first although it falls off somewhat quickly. Still recommend though, would love to see more like this.

Excellent game. Really enjoyed the challenge even if it made me want to throw the controller at times. The music is so good. Can't wait for HK3

Pretty mid card battler. Really simple and short. It was fun enough although the final fight was a frustrating gimmick.

It's okay. Some interesting elements that fade away into tedium. Wanted to finish it out but can't because of a game breaking bug that's been present for the past 5 years that causes a power glitch. Followed online advice to fix the problem using a console command. The command clears out your reserves and resets your progress on the Rift Gate. 30 minutes later I'm back to where I was only for the glitch to still persist. Others have suggested replacing EVERY power node, going through and replacing buildings one at a time. No thanks.
