Excellent.

Path of Exile 2 is more approachable than it's predecessor in some ways, but there is more emphasis on movement and rolling.

I could play through D4 or PoE1 up to the final acts with my eyes closed and I can't say the same thing about PoE2. It is slower and more meaningful, and the fights are less forgiving. There is a lot of depth and several progression systems that can scare away the feint of heart but the systems are rewarding to understand, and there are many resources to help you better understand them.

I particularly like that WASD movement is in the game now, and that your abilities are not bound to gems in socketed pieces of gear. You just have the abilities now and sockets help to enhance your overall character. Gold from the last PoE ladder is here to stay and it is nice to have a non-tradeable currency you can dump for gear and reallocating points.

The bosses are incredible, the game itself is very pretty. The animations are good.

depth of mechanics that u would expect from owlcat, really good game with a lot of reading and build potential, i am nowhere near the end at 100 hrs although i did restart after 30 hours or so

really good narrative easy to get overwhelmed by the class archetypes but you learn it all eventually

its fun, good atmosphere, good visuals, great dialogue with english subtitles, animations are good, sound is good

probably lacking enough features to scare away purists of the earlier titles, has a lot of the jank you would expect from a stalker game

i have a 2070 super and a 10700 and i can get pretty good frames (80-140) with frame generation

has a lot of content but not a lot of divergent gameplay

abysmal performance issues are hindering a GOTY contender, wait for a significant enough patch that causes game journalists to spout the same nonsense as they did with cyberpunk 2077 about the humility and passion of the game developers to bring the game into the playable state that it should have been on launch

aside from the performance problems it is fantastic and a mostly overhauled version of the first game, and you are better off giving that a try while you wait

Lifetime Halo player, disappointed at 343's continued incompetency

Pros
- Best feeling Halo game to date
- Generous monetization systems (you can always go back and complete content from a pass you purchased, very respectful of my time)

Cons
- Everyone has aim assist, even PC lol
- Ranked maps rotate through like 6 tops
- Playerbase is dwindling
- Forced to play crossplatform due to no players

I am very saddened by this, this should/could have been a concurrent Halo game that players still appreciate to the day like CS or other household long format shooters. Shamedddd

Want very badly to recommend the game, just doesn't meet the standard for a game that has been out for this long.

Pretty neglected by the devs, there is hardly ever new content added, the shooting just sucks, nothing feels snappy. The looter shooter genre has seen way to much iteration for the game to be as static as it still is, it is really unfortunate. The game is desperately lacking a new setting and content, and the looter shooter aspect needs a complete overhaul. The game was good in 2019 because you could suspend your disbelief to say "this is a good and new game that will surely undergo much change and be amazing for it" I don't even have a reason to expect that from Crytek, I have never played their games.
