Thinking it was genuine, he entered his credentials, unknowingly handing them over to attackers. This lapse enabled unauthorized access to his account, as the attackers swiftly logged in and began exploiting his data. Through this compromised account, they could potentially access sensitive information or spread further phishing attempts to others, deepening the breach's impact. Moosefrog's experience highlights the importance of scrutinizing links and verifying web addresses before entering login details.
