If you were to die today, are you 100% sure you're going to heaven?

The Bible says in Romans 3:23 — "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

That means me, that means you. We've all sinned. And not only that — we come short. We don't measure up to what God expects. None of us do.

And there's a punishment for that. Romans 6:23 — "For the wages of sin is death."

But it doesn't stop at physical death. After we die, the Bible talks about a second death. Revelation 20:14 — "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."

That's hell. A place of punishment for sin — where every sin you've ever committed has to be paid for.

And it's not just the big stuff either. Have you ever told a lie? Everyone has. Revelation 21:8 says — "All liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone."

So according to that verse — where are all liars going? Hell. That's what we deserve.

Does God want you to go to hell? No — because He loves you.

Romans 5:8 — "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

God Himself became a human being — Jesus Christ. Born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, never sinned once. A life none of us could live. And then they lied about Him, arrested Him, beat Him, spat on Him, and nailed Him to the cross.

The Bible says "he himself bare our sins in his own body on the tree." Every sin you've ever done — when Jesus was on that cross, it was as if He had done it. He was being punished for your sins and mine, even though He never sinned. He died, was buried, and three days later — He rose again from the dead.

Acts 16:30-31 — "Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."

Does it say go to church? No.
Does it say get baptised? No.
Does it say clean up your life or give up your sins? No.
It says believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 3:16 — "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Whosoever — that means you.

And verse 18 — "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already."

Believing on Him means you're putting your faith on Him to get you to heaven. Not on anything you've done. Not on how good you are. On Him.

Romans 6:23 — "But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Is a gift something you earn, or is it free? It's free. Who pays for a gift — the giver or the receiver? The giver. God is the one giving eternal life, so God is the one who paid for it. And He already did — on the cross.

If someone gives you something and then makes you work for it, it's not a gift. You don't have to do anything to receive it. Just take it.

1 John 5:11 — "God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son."

If God gave it to you, it belongs to you. He's not going to take it back.

1 John 5:13 — "These things have I written… that ye may know that ye have eternal life."

Eternal. That means forever. If God said He's giving you eternal life and then took it back — He'd be a liar. But Titus 1:2 says — "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began."

God cannot lie. Once you're saved, you are always saved. No matter what. Even if you do something terrible. You weren't good enough to get saved in the first place — none of us were. The only reason anyone goes to heaven is through the blood of Jesus.

Romans 10:13 — "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Do you believe you're a sinner? Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for your sins and rose again from the dead? Then you can be saved right now.

It's not the words that save you — it's the faith in your heart. But if you want to, you could pray something like this:

"Dear Jesus, I know I'm a sinner. I know I deserve hell. But I believe that You died on the cross for me and rose again. Please save me right now and give me eternal life. I'm only trusting You, Jesus. Amen."
