A bit late for a review, buuuuuut what the heck. Might as well. Though its more about how it changed my life.

This is my favourite game of all time.

Which is strange because I rage quit the game 5 times over the years until 2022.
3 of those rage quits came from Chained Ogre alone. I kept coming back because I was in love with the setting and the aesthetic. Heck, I even installed a trainer and unlocked all skills and maxed health and flasks. I was still getting rekt by the grunts. I could never understand what does the game want from me as a player.

I was convinced this game wasnt for me.

Until last year, when I was so frustrated with life that I decided to download this game once again. This wasnt a comfort game(yet), but more like punishment game. Lo and behold, it suddenly clicked. I tore through the story in 2 days, and killed every single boss I could in my first run, including Owl Father and Demon of Hatred. By the time I got to the final boss,
I think I became the final boss myself.

The massive confidence and ego boost that I got from completing Sekiro directly affected my life. I quit my grossly underpaying dead end job and went for a massively better paying one, started working on my poor physical and mental health, my dad came back with the milk and it definitely improved my self image.

Its an awesome game and I wish everyone could play it.

Edit: just a couple of weeks after writing this review I was diagnosed with cancer. Beat it in 1st try, far easier than Demon Hatred or Glock Saint Isshin
