I got the DOSMan bundle on Fanatical for a few bucks the other day, and I gotta say this is probably the best of the bunch. Really fun old school FPS. The other's are okay but this one is by far the best, definitely worth a few bucks by itself if you're old like me, or a fan of the genre.

Pretty fun game with a surprising amount of things to do for the price. It could use some more attacks, at the moment there are around half a dozen give or take a couple.

Early Access Review
It's pretty fun, definitely don't regret buying it like I do most games I buy these days. The only issue I've experienced so far is performance degradation after you play for a while. On launch I run at a locked 165 FPS (my refresh rate) and it never dips, after two hours however that changes and it gets real choppy with lots of drops and stutters. Relaunching the game solves this for a couple more hours. I'm sure this will be addressed at some point, unless the game is abandoned, as it is early access. I'm itching for more, I want more bodies, more weapons, more suspension types and wheels to unlock, maybe mod support too. Excited to see where this goes.

Early Access Review
Overall it's pretty fun, although pretty difficult. Like why does a mini-boss in act 1 normal have 30,000 HP when I'm level 9 and do 60 damage per second? Turns every boss encounter into a slog and really kills the pacing, especially when you're going through the map quickly and melting everything immediately beforehand. I would probably wait until the full release, things still need a lot of work and tweaking. There are quite a few things still missing as well.

This is gonna be absolutely inaccessible to the vast majority of gamers, most of whom don't have $600+ to drop on just a GPU. With my Ryzen 7 5700x3d and a RTX 4070 using DLSS and Frame Gen, it's still a sub 60 FPS experience, closer to 30 with a bunch of stuff going on. For ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles I tried it on my secondary system that's pretty close to the minimum recommended specs, with a Ryzen 5 5600x and a RTX 3060, at 1080p with Ultra Performance DLSS and the lowest settings I was getting around 34 FPS and it looked terrible. Unless your system has a thousand dollar GPU in it, you're better off just playing the original.

It's not great. Voices from multiple characters will change in the same conversation, character's mouths are not synced to their words, as well as the subtitles not matching the words being spoken. All of these happen quite often and it really breaks immersion. The gameplay loop is boring, it's the same several tasks you repeat ad nauseam with the only change being the enemies and locations. Speaking of the enemies, there are basically several types that never change mechanically only visually outside of the mega bosses, a.k.a. the giant guys. Speaking of the giant boss enemies, there is supposed to be a mechanic where you weaken them by shooting a weak spot and grapple onto them to deal bigger damage, but it's easier to just shoot them until they die. I only saw someone use that mechanic a single time. Visually the game looks pretty good, but not good enough to perform as terribly as it does. I mean c'mon guys it regularly dips below 60 FPS using a 5900x, RTX 3070, and 32 GB of RAM at 1080p WITH DLSS on and ray tracing off! Every weapon I have seen so far looked terrible, visually. Mechanically they are pretty basic but functional. It's fun for a bit, but ultimately doesn't offer enough content to be engaging for any significant length of time. Other games have done it better already.

This game is fantastic, on the surface it looks like your typical boomer shooter but it is actually pretty in depth. There are multiple play styles such as arcadey using the game's double jumping, bhopping, sliding, and slowmo upgrade for a proper fast paced experience. There is also the tactical style with the game's bullet drop, ADS, and shooting around corners with the peek function. There are quite a few levels with bosses, as well as upgrades and lots of replayability. I wish there was a more active community around making mods and levels. Buy this game!

I would like to recommend this game but I can't. It's pretty fun and quite a bit like Rimworld, they obviously took a lot of inspiration from it. The problem is that there isn't much here, especially for a fully released game. This feels more like it's not finished, it should be in early access still. The game has the feel and mechanics of Rimworld but lacks the depth and amount of content in just the base game. There is less of everything such as weapons, research, colonists, and building. There are mods but even that is severely lacking in comparison. The procedural generation and randomness of Rimworld with the huge selection of mods and the sheer amount of content highly add to the replayability, most of which is not here sadly. It's a shame because 3d Rimworld would be incredible.

This is your typical Bethesda first person RPG, there is a lot to do in a large world and a lot of nothing in between with the occasional random encounter. Quests WILL break and require a console command or restart to work, AI companions WILL disappear or get stuck, your inventory WILL be full to bursting with garbage that will sell for 10% of it's listed value, and the main story isn't very good while many of the side quests are more memorable and fun. New additions include New Game Plus, custom ship building, and below 60 FPS on 1080p low with a 3070 while looking like it came out 8 years ago. Many of these things would be resolved if Bethesda would just develop a new game engine already and stop using the gotdang Morrowind engine! Despite all of this I can't get enough of the game. I don't know how they do it but somehow they make barely functioning games that are really fun. I look forward to reinstalling it in a couple years and downloading 250 mods that fix all of the problems.
