I really wanted to like this game, as the concept and aesthetic are really appealing to me, but even beyond the obvious bugs and performance issues, it's just generally janky. The driving has its issues, but it's serviceable enough, but my main gripe is with the combat. It just doesn't work for me, the heavy attack and the parry feel useless, as does the Adrenaline Mode, and the dodge and takedowns work in mysterious ways, so sometimes I dodge an still get hit or am spamming R3 and nothing happens. I'm not completely writing off it being a skill issue, but it just seems like the controls aren't really responsive and the combat has no real depth. Maybe I'm expecting too much from a 25€ game, but I'm still left feeling like it's not worth the money.

It's a pretty good game, especially for a solo dev, but it's clearly still early access. Insane potential though, but I do think it could benefit from a bit more narrative. I know that's not that important an element in these types of games, but it would be cool nonetheless. I took a peek at the road map and the difficulty options would be appreciated, since I beat it on the first run, but the core game is compelling enough.

While there are some good elements to this game, there's just a generally amateurish vibe to every aspect that stops it from being anything other than average.

Let's get the least offensive stuff out of the way: the renders are dated by this point; the models are generally attractive, but there are a lot of goofy expressions and a general lack of thickness; and the sandbox parts are, as far as I can tell, annoying padding.

The worst part is the writing. Every character is immature and annoying to varying degrees, with the worst being the MC. He's just really petty and ♥♥♥♥♥♥, which combined with the room-temperature IQ and the attention span of a horny goldfish make for a very frustrating protagonist. I also find most other characters annoying, Ellie being the exception since she mercifully doesn't speak.

I appreciate the years of effort poured into this, but the product just isn't worth it.

Not much more than a military shooter where you can go invisible since the armour barely does anything. The plot's whatever with asspulls left and right and the pacing is a mess. I only played it to see the story before 2 and 3, and because of the whole "but can it run Crysis" meme. It's ultimately nothing special and you should only buy it heavily discounted if at all.

I'm a massive Yakuza fan so it pains me to say that the game simply isn't worth it. Single use DLC, mind-numbing substories, a myriad performance issues, annoying gameplay loops, boring story... It's certainly disappointing to see after all the fanfare and praise I heard about the original japanese version.

Your money is better spent elsewhere, though if it ever comes to gamepass and you're a fan of the series I'd suggest trying it.

The sidequests can be a bit tedious but on the whole it's fun. I like turning acromantulas small and squishing them.

EA should be ashamed of themselves, I know I am for having bought this trash game. It'd have been less of a waste to just burn the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money.

I'm a big fan of both visual novels and tabletop RPGs, and this feels like a great marriage of both.

This is a very satisfying game, well worth the price. It's not terribly difficult to unlock every achievement, but the game is addictive enough that'll keep you coming back even after that.

It's not a long game by any stretch of the imagination but it's a good one, I think it could definitely be expanded upon.
