Masterpiece

Jako milovník strategií jsem rád za každý titul, jelikož tento žánr zažívá jak kvantitativní, tak také kvalitativní úpadek. Ze hry jsem opravdu mile překvapen, už jen z důvodu, že v den vydání je naprosto v pohodě hratelná a zatím po 15h žádné gamebreaking bugy (Ano, dívám se na Vás AAA studia s hrami za 70 euro).

+ Skvělé zasazení, gameplay, námět
+ Půvabná grafika a zároveň velmi dobrá optimalizace, stabilní výkon
+ Dabing, hrané scénky
+ Dlouhá herní doba, velmi příjemná cena
+ Už jen jedna mise a jdu spát...vážně!
+ Czech gold hande

- Občas trošku pozlobí pathfinding
- Ocenil bych větší a lepší možnosti filtrování (jednak pro práci na vlaku a také vlastnosti pro výsadek)

Verdun and Tannenberg veteran here, let's start with what is good after cca 23h of game time.

- Beautiful maps, very large
- Game runs quite smooth even on the launch day, stable 90-100 fps on full ultra with gtx3070
- Large scale battles, many classes that can change specs with perks
- Progession system (after patch) is quite nice
- Char, weapon, perks and equipment customization

Thing that needs to be adressed in my opinion:
- Squad lobby removed, this is something I just don't understand why it got removed and it's a bad decision in my opinion. Loved to form a squad in lobby with my 3 friends. Now someone needs to log first and invite the others, usally not all of them can join, because balancing factor won't let them join in the same team, this is really stupid in my opinion

- Attacking, I loved offensive warfare in Verdun and Tann and I expected to die a lot, but attacking in the current state is quite frustrating, usually defender always wins unless they have subpar team. Attackers just get stuck and totally demoralized trying to push on.

- Bots, bots are brutally overtuned, bascially you don't stand a chace in CQC, they will snap headshot while running

- Melee, feels really sluggish and clunky even compared to Verdun and Tann, feels kinda useless.

- Movement speed, same as above, slow and clunky compared to previous games, I have to play mountaineer with speed buff, other classes are just painfully slow. It hits hard when you are the attacker and have to cross a field, instant death.

- Low setting advantage, feels like players playing on lower setting can see me from a kilometer, me playing on ultra can't see a guy in a bush from 50m.

- Officers and squad progress. Officers are now limited to 2 per team, which means if you have new or bad players as officers, you are pretty much can quit the match. Using smoke etc is way more needed in this game than the previous ones. I enjoyed more in previous games that every squad had its field officer and could lead their squad. To the squad progressions I am missing passive abilites, like faster reload time, squad leader aura etc. while progressing the squad.

Overall this game has a great potential, but a lot tuning and changes needs to be done. But I know the developers are listening to their community and already I am seeing very fast patches and hotfixes. I am going to stick with the game, few patches and I think it will be a blast :)

F*ck you steam, selling game without cd keys. DO NOT BUY IT BRAND NEW. You will not be able to create an online profile, so you are not able to play Coop, Zombies and Multiplayer. I have an old CD copy, but wanted a steam one and I was shocked by this. Big middle finger to steam!

Loving this game, just the loading screens are giving me hard Empire Total War nostalgia, inspiration can be seen here. I absolutely loved the Ultimate General: Civil War, so when I saw this game I wanted it, because I love old sailships and spent hours in naval battles in Empire TW and Napoleon TW. Like in the UGCW I love the management, but it is well improved in this game, you have many gun options for your ship (Do you want massive damage, and low range? Or great range and mediocre damage?). Equipment for ships is great for flexibility (do you want improve hull and become sailing fortress, but slow and smaller capacity? Or do you want to sail fast as no other ship, but with paper armor - ITS YOUR CHOICE and I love it)

The feeling when you capture your first Ship of the line and absolutely melt enemy fleet in the next battle is sooo good.

PROS+
- Great naval battles, land battles or combined operations
- Management, flexibility
- Tutorial, which si good for beginners and was asbsent in UGCW
- 2 campaigns in base game, custom battles, historical battles
- Improved graphics
- Attention to detail (sailors from sunken ship jumps into rowboats and can enforce another ship)

CONS-
- Boarding mechanics can be tricky and trollish
- AI acts wierdly, especially in ship collisions (however AI is at very good level in general)
- Land battles are slower and not as good as UGCW

Solid 8,5/10, really nice game, I love RTS games, but there are so few recently, so thank you GAME LABS for new RTS games with an old school vibe!

Absolutely great game, CoD 2 with updates graphics, nice maps, great arcade old school gameplay. Help us revive this game again! If you enjoyed CoD 1, 2 and 5, you will love this game!

This game was given to me by my brother. I really enjoyed this game and I can recommend this to any RTS game fans. Massive battles that usally takes more than an hour to beat. Very well made maps, lots of space to outmanouver the enemy. I felt like playing Union is way easier than CSA.

+ Realisticly made maps
+ Army and weapon management
+ Smart enemy AI
+ MacOS
+ I like the way the game looks

- Sometimes friendly AI behaves weirdly (especially the cavalry)
- On some maps more time would be nice
