For now, there isnt much in it. But even then its a nice, short, educational game.

paradox/CO repeatably unable to deliver on the "promises" they made, to deliver a functional base game. Almost 6 months later the game is still broken. At least they put the release of DLCs on hold until the end of 2024. But still, this is unacceptable

Update July24: After the Eco Update 2.0 the game does feel better to play (gameplay) but the performance is still subpar. Now the game starts crashing randomly and still runs like ♥♥♥♥ after 65k pop

Update Dec25: while performance has improvied like the loading time, its still leaves much to be desiered. With the addion of bikes, traffic became a new nightmare to manage, because bikes readly ignore "no bikes allowed". Game also is still missing some better way of flow controll then just traffic lights or stop signs. Pedestrian Bridiges to manage large amounts ob people without the need to build super ugly and needlesly spacious overpasses also still dont exist.

Bought it when it was a sale to add it to my backlog for a little later. Now this decision comes back to bite me. Won’t create a PSN account, so I will not be able to play the game in the future. My Refund request got denied because it’s been more than 2 weeks even though I explained the situation. Also, Sony still didn’t retract the change of the game not being purchasable in some regions

core-gameplayloop is nicely done. (Craft Portions > sell > buy material > experiment > repeat)

From a gameplay perspective this game might be really fun after polishing. So I will not go any deeper in the current state because there is a major point I can’t recommend this game.

And that’s the technical integrity of the game. The game is, from a technical point of view, unplayable in most multiplayer sessions. You either can´t join Servers and get kicked out or you aren’t able to join Servers you were already on because the Server is not responding after joining the Server and the game kicks you back into the main menu. In addition to that, the game crashes on a regular basis, In-game as well while joining Servers. I could understand a few crashes but this game does crash every third time I try to connect to a Server an all I get is an error massage which does say nothing. In short, the game doesn’t even support a reply system so u can hand over information to the developer by sending logs.
The game might be playable in a few major patches and after this I will rewrite this review but right now u won´t have fun with it if you don´t belong the lucky ones with just minor problems.
