In regards to netbeans I meant to say: "Another IDE which I did not mention above which supports C++ is netbeans - which is also written in java". instead of "another IDE which I did not mention above which supports C++ is netbeans - which also supports C++".

Well, in reply to your eclipse comment, there are multiple versions of eclipse, three of which is "eclipse for java developers", "eclipse for C++ developers" and "eclipse classic" - which allows you to develop for all supported languages (including C++, java and a few others). You see, you could always use an IDE such as code::blocks, dev C++, and a few others, but eclipse is really an great IDE. Eclipse is written in java. Another IDE which I did not mention above which supports C++ is netbeans - which also supports C++ development. However, if you don't want to go with eclipse for C++ developers I would go with code::blocks - being the next best thing.
