This has to be the best game to come out in a long time. As a lover of the dark souls series I haven't played a game that resonates with me on such a level in years.

Aesthetically it's a beautiful game that runs smoothly. I unfortunatly can't say much about the story yet as I haven't finished the game, but thus far it's been interesting and I've actually found myself reading the journals and entries lying around the levels. Which brings me to the procedurally generated levels makes replaying levels with friends still fresh and exciting, as you don't know where all the enemies spawn and where all the items are. This game has so many similarities to Dark Souls from bonfires to estus flasks, but aside from the obvious stuff the combat is also very similar to Dark Souls even though this game is a shooter. The combat mechanics are purposefully simple but very very smooth. The smoothness of these controls lend to the fairness of the difficulty as you'll find yourself blaming the controls or mechanics for dying.

All this makes for a fantastic game. So much so that as a person who doesn't write reviews I felt the need to do so.
