also: some upcoming realeases: damon albarn - dr. dee (some kind of opera thingie he made, influenced by alan moore, story wise) a new record by animal collective (if you dont know them, check them out! electronics and beach boys like vocals) and rocket juice & the moon (self titled album) which is a funk project damon albarn made with the bassist of the chili peppers.

Nico: german singer (singing in english ofc) collaborated with the velvet underground on their first album, go give the end and the marble index a listen and start from there
the mooney suzuki: neat garage rock, not much to say about those haha, check out electric sweat
the go-betweens (bright yellow bright orange/oceans apart) dont dig their 80s stuff, but check it out regardless, you might like it.

-shellac: 1000 hurts, mclusky - the difference between me and you is that im not on fire
^gore recommended those for me too, they are awesome
-DRC music - kinshasa one two <- kind of world music-ey with a LOT of electronics and rap in there, damon albarn of gorillaz worked with some congolese musicians for this one
-captain beefheart: start with safe as milk, and then anything, really. especially trout mask replica (but only for the REALLY weird ♥♥♥♥) and ice cream for crow.
-neutral milk hotel - in the aeroplane over the sea (some generic indie/folk, musicwise. but with neat lyrics)
