It sure is a souls game.
I sometimes liked it, but mostly disliked it.
When you have the options of DS1,DS3 and Elden Ring to play, this just isn't the choice.
There are too many bosses, but outside of the dlc, most are just bad and forgettable and you get a fair amount of them as normal enemies. The enemy placements are terrible and just made to be annoying, It has creative ideas but that's about it.
You will probably just finish it once just to say you played the DS trilogy and then never touch it again.

this game is exhausting

It's a game I hold dear to my heart with a story that made me cry numerous times, and I love the passion that goes into the game in general. But this collab banner made me reconsider all of those. What kind of a rate up is 0,2167% ? The developers expect you to have basically every single EGO before pulling on the banner and even then the rates are terrible. It's much worse for new players, I know people who have done 400 pulls and couldn't pull any of the EGO's, he had to spark two of them. If they don't ever address this, I will probably gonna stop buying the monthly packs I usually buy from the shop, it's a terrible experience for every player included.

Play the Demo to see if it's a game you would enjoy.

It's a must play if you are looking for something to scratch that Danganronpa itch.
After a very long Prologue the actual game starts where you choose routes that include mysteries and new elements that completely change the game's genre. It could be a Killing Game, A murder mystery, Romance and so much more.

Amazing Story with incredible variety.
Satisfying Gameplay unless it being a SRPG is the only reason you are buying it.
Dynamic Characters who will change your opinion on them completely, based on the route.
Some routes that will drag on for too long and never explain anything that happens until a loredump at the end.
Way too many grunts instead of fully voiced characters but I feel like it is a given since there are way too many routes.

Conclusion: Buy this if you like Kodaka's and/or Uchikoshi's writing.
Try the demo if you haven't tried either of their works to see if the premise will interest you.

They have listened to the player base, nothing but respect.
A game with a very interesting story, likeable characters and one of the best VA cast I have seen.

It's honestly just peak. I don't even know what else to say, story takes like 50-60 hours if you are mediocre like me. The story will make you feel all kinds of emotions and the OST is just cherry on top. The Combat is really engaging and surprisingly doesnt get boring even after 60 hours.
Do yourself a favor and play it, will be the best 10 bucks you've ever spent.

None of those has changed but the game is pretty good
