tl;dr - It's just straight up bad. Don't bother. You'll play it for a day, see everything the game has to offer, then get bored and frustrated and likely never pick it up again unless the devs add some non-paid content update. No, this game is not like Hunt: Showdown nor is it close to any other medieval mp game like Mordhau or Chivalry. There's a vague semblance of stealth gameplay for about a minute into the match, then it becomes a much worse For Honor clone for 10 minutes where you run into the enemy team over and over until the extraction reaches 90% then whoever gets a team wipe wins the game. Rinse and repeat for every match.

Pros
- Looks alright, the lighting is really nice
- Runs alright too
- First minute of gameplay is fun

Cons
- Everything else is not fun
- Buggy as all hell (just for me personally: Bug that makes you hear some random other player's voice chat while you are in the hideout, bug that gets you stuck in the winch making you a free kill, people/sheriff assassinating you from over 5 yards away, 3/4 lobbies you join are bugged and no new players will join it meaning you have to leave and requeue)
- Multiplayer and UI are terrible. Even when the lobbies aren't bugged it can take 2+ minutes for a game to fill, you can't go into the options menu while in the pre-game lobby, invites to parties don't just pop up - you have to go into a separate menu for them, you can't rebind push-to-talk, when you leave a lobby or finish a match and go back to hideout you'll randomly lose your pre-made group, you can't adjust the reward money if you leave the game too early.
- Broken AI. Sometimes guards will aggro you from 50 yards, other times they won't see you even if you walk right by them. Sometimes they'll be aggroed on an enemy and will turn on you for no reason, and other times they'll walk right by you and ignore you in favor of the enemy. Sometimes the fate of the match is determined by who the sheriff + 10 guards decide to gang up on at the end.
- Abysmally shallow combat. You have hp, stamina, a light attack, a strong attack, and a block or a dodge. That's it. Your lights and strongs don't combo. You can't feint. You don't have any sort of mouse dragging. You don't have grabs. You can only dodge on some characters and only block on others, not both. You can't throw your weapon or pick up any other weapons. You have no gear or weapon customization whatsoever. Combat revolves around either spamming left click to stunlock the enemy, spamming your ranged attack to headshot them before they get to you or sprinting behind them and mashing E before they do so you can instakill them with an assassinate. There you go. That's Hood combat right there.
- Assassinations work when they want to. Since half of Hood's combat is sprinting around each other trying to do a pseudo-Dark Souls backstab, you'd think it'd have some consistency. Nope. Sometimes you can assassinate from 5 yards away without even trying, other times you can be perfectly positioned behind someone and not get the button prompt, making the combat even more of a frustrating experience.
- No content. 4(?) maps, 4 characters that are barely different from each other, no weapon or gear customization whatsoever, barely any cosmetics even when the game's only progression is cosmetics, the cosmetics that are there are mostly palette swaps, no hideout customization or progression, ONE SINGLE game mode, no ranked/competitive modes.
- Terrible map design. Maps lack multiple routes and paths to use. Including portcullises (which are usually down anyway) most portions of the map only have about 3 ways to get into them. That might seem ok to you, but considering how giant the maps are in this game, this leads to huge chokepoint issues and further kills the stealth aspect of the game since the enemy team will always know where you're coming from. There's barely any verticality or complicated geometry. Every part of the map that looks complicated on the outside ends up being a flat plane with a ladder or two here and there.
- Bad animations. I laugh out loud every time I see Tooke's sprinting animation.
- The only game mode is awful. Grabbing the key and opening the vault takes no time at all, nor does it really matter if the enemy team does it first or not. All that matters is the last 20 seconds of the match. Whoever completes the extraction wins. Not whoever gets the key, not whoever opens the door, not whoever delivers the chest to the extraction point, not whoever does the majority of the extraction. The ONLY THING that matters is completing that last 10% of the extraction. Honestly you could go afk for 5 minutes every single match and as long as you kill the enemy team at the last 10%, you'll win every time. That's how irrelevant everything else is outside of that last little bit.
- Kills and deaths don't matter. As just mentioned, outside of the last few seconds of extraction your kills and deaths really don't matter. There are infinite respawns so it's not like you're accomplishing anything by killing them. Again, you could play the whole match without getting a single kill and still win by wiping them right at the end.
- Stealth is not a part of this game. Point blank period. Do not get this game to be a stealthy assassin trying to pick off the enemy. That's just straight up not possible once extraction starts. Sure you can do that in the first couple minutes of the game, but like I just said. Who cares? That's not gonna win you the game.

This is pretty much the epitome of what's wrong with a lot of modern AAA games. Everything from the incredibly generic marketing and name, to how much time they spent trying to make the game look pretty instead of making it actually fun to play, to the absurd lack of content. This game feels like a beta. No, scratch that. It IS a beta. Look at everything I just said. That's the kinda stuff you'd hear about an early access game. Not a fully-fledged release. Don't waste your money on this. Please. I don't write a lot of reviews but right now this game has mostly positive reviews and it blows my mind. I don't want anyone else wasting their money on false advertising. Despite what the description or the other reviews might say, this is not a cool stealth heist game. It's a clunky, buggy, unfinished medieval multiplayer game with half-baked combat, half-baked progression, half-baked ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything.
