Welp, they did it again.

Supergiant games hold a special place. Another cool story coupled with gameplay in a most creative way. If I had to nitpick, they could have used OST more effectively (or a more evoking OST altogether) at some of the events, dialogues etc. just like they did in Transistor and Pyre.

Graphic and animation improvements are nice, auto-farm and multiplayer servers are more crucial improvements for me so far. For a person who plays with his mates from time to time, I'm content with my purchase.

First I should claim that I am not an avid VN player. That being said, Seers Isle has a good, interesting storyline and writing. Visuals and art are also nice. Based on choice-consequence, it has a good replayability as different storylines can be experienced. 8/10

At first, i was skeptical of Pyre, as the previous games of Supergiant Games were beautiful and i loved them. Welp, with Pyre, i fell in love once again. Just like previous games, absolutely great soundtrack, artwork, story and characters.

In terms of gameplay, first thing to note, you should love reading. The action parts, matches, were also fun but let's say the focus of this game is on the story development and matches are means to an end. It is the story that makes the matches carry some meaning to you, and, in turn, challenging matches make the story much more valuable.

After a tad slow start, story and characters draw you in. It became addictive after the initial info and tutorial dump. Characters were great.

The high quality of soundtrack is a testament to the importance of OSTs to games. Greatly increases immersion. Important matches become a delight to play. OST alone transforms the gaming experience in Pyre, just as it did Bastion and Transistor before.

9/10.

The game has got a great atmosphere and immersion. Besides the world, not only companions but also the other characters you interact with also have interesting personalities.

Compared to the other installments, SR and SR: Hong Kong, this game had the best RPG experience in terms of interesting story and atmosphere.

The second installment of Witcher series is beautiful in its own unique way compared to its prequel and sequel.

In 2016, the graphics are still pretty although animations may seem a bit clunky. Lack of jumping over obstacles etc. may also annoy some. But in the end, based on visuals, it is still a game that can be played for quite some time into the future.

As for context of the game:

Using a branching storyline and presenting two scenarios is the most striking selling point of this game. Replayability is pretty high thanks to it which is something lovely if you are highly into the atmosphere of the series.

Although atmosphere and immersion is a bit weaker compared to the game's prequel and sequel, the game still presents witcher series' signature atmosphere of morally gray occasions.
