Early Access Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5
I bought this at midnight and didn't sleep. Worth it.
I went in with zero expectations and came out completely obsessed. Fields of Mistria is one of those rare games where you sit down "just to check it out" and suddenly it's 3am and you've forgotten what hunger feels like.
If you love Stardew Valley and Sun Haven, stop reading and just buy it. You will NOT regret it. Fields of Mistria takes everything that makes that genre cozy and addictive, and layers on a surprisingly rich story, a town full of genuinely charming characters, and enough quests and objectives to keep you busy for hours on end. There's always something to do, someone to talk to, or a new story thread to follow. It never feels empty.
The art and character designs are absolutely gorgeous. There's a warm, nostalgic anime aesthetic to everything that just makes the world feel alive. The writing is sharp too; the villagers actually have personality, and their dialogue made me laugh more than once.
My only complaint? OLRIC ISN'T ROMANCEABLE. The man is running the blacksmith with his sunshine energy, clearly the most beloved character in the entire community, and we can't even give him a proper confession? NPC Studio, the people are speaking, and WE WANT OLRIC. Please. I'm begging. He reminds me of a certain someone from Love and Deepspace and I am NOT okay.
Anyway. Incredible game. Still in Early Access but already has so much content. The developers are active and clearly listening to their community, which gives me a lot of hope for where this is going. 10/10, send help, I have crops to water.

Years in and I still can't quit. This game ruined me (in the best way).
I have been playing Stardew Valley for years. I have lost entire weekends to it. I have neglected sleep, meals, and responsibilities because my crops needed watering and my animals needed to be tended. And I regret absolutely nothing.
This is one of those games that is genuinely hard to explain to someone who hasn't played it. On the surface it's a farming sim. You tend crops, raise animals, mine for ores, fish by the river. But underneath all of that is one of the most surprisingly heartfelt games ever made. The town of Pelican Town is full of characters with real depth, real struggles, and real stories that unfold the more time you invest in them. Sebastian alone has a whole arc that honestly hit harder than most AAA game narratives I've experienced. The romance system feels earned, not just transactional.
The gameplay loop is endlessly satisfying. There's always something to work toward: a new farm upgrade, a community bundle to complete, a dungeon floor to conquer, a heart event to unlock. It never forces you either. You set your own pace. Want to spend an entire in-game week just fishing? Go ahead. Want to speedrun the community centre? Also valid. The game meets you wherever you are.
And then there's co-op. Farming with friends adds a whole new dimension. Dividing tasks, building a shared farm, absolutely blaming each other when someone forgets to water the crops. It's chaotic and wonderful.
What makes this game even more special is that ConcernedApe, the sole developer behind all of this, real name Eric Barone, keeps updating it to this day. New content, new surprises, new reasons to start another save file, all for free. That kind of love and dedication poured into a game by one person is genuinely rare, and it shows in every corner of Stardew Valley.
If you've never played it, I genuinely don't know what you're waiting for. And if you're a returning farmer who drifted away..., your old save file misses you. Come home.
P.S. And if you ever find yourself at the end of everything Stardew has to offer, wondering what's next — ConcernedApe is already working on "Haunted Chocolatier". A haunted castle, a chocolate shop, and that same unmistakable soul that made Stardew what it is. No date, no Steam page yet, but its absolutely worth keeping an eye on.

I've already sunken too much money into this to quit. Send help.
Look, I'm not going to pretend this game is good. But I'm also not going to pretend I'm going to stop playing it, because I've already bought the game AND the DLCs, and at this point it's a sunk cost situation. So here's an honest review from someone who is both frustrated and unfortunately committed.
The concept is genuinely great. The execution? Not so much.
The idea of a 4v4 team-based Naruto multiplayer game where you create your own custom ninja, learn jutsu from iconic masters, and battle across verticle arena maps? Incredible on paper. The movement system especially: wall running, aerial combat, acrobatic chasing... actually feels fun and gives you that real shinobi energy. When this game works, it really works. That's what keeps you coming back. That's the trap.
The PVP matchmaking is a disaster.
There is absolutely no reason a team of fresh newbies should be thrown against seasoned veterans with hundreds of hours under their belt. Costumes and weapons are one thing, but gameplay experience? That gap is massive and it shows every single match. And don't even get me started on the dropout problem. Crashes and lag mean you're regularly stuck playing 2v4 or 3v4 with no penalty for the other side. Being constantly outnumbered and ganked isn't a challenge, it's just unfun. The developers have acknowledged the matchmaking issue and even ran a community survey on balance changes Steam Community, but progress has been painfully slow.
The bugs and crashes are still very much a thing.
Sudden crashes mid-loading screen. Matches that just fall apart. The game is now on patch version 2.58. That's a lot of patches, and yet these fundamental issues persist. For a game that has been out this long, the technical state is honestly embarrassing.
The cheater and hacker problem is out of control.
High rank, under 20 hours of playtime. One-shotting everyone. Ultimates recharging in under 10 seconds. Bandai Namco claims they have been strengthening anti-cheat measures since 2022 and implementing bans based on in-game reports Steam Community, but anyone who has played recently knows the problem is still very much alive. It's demoralising and completely ruins the competitive experience.
The balance patches make things worse sometimes.
Just when you find a playstyle that works, a patch comes along and pulls the rug. A recent update nerfed the Skyward Lightning Bow, slowing its attack timing and tracking ability, while other weapons were buffed at the same time, leaving ranged players at a serious disadvantage. Balance patches should make the game fairer, not randomly punish entire playstyles.
The DLC situation is genuinely insulting.
The base game already costs a decent amount. The DLC costs extra on top of that, and a lot of it feels like content that should have been included from the start. They are currently on Season Pass 9, with over 47 DLC packs released. Forty-seven. Characters locked behind paywalls, recycled PvP season rewards, the same costumes rotated over and over. And yet here I am, having bought most of them. I hate it here.
The story mode is basically a long tutorial.
Don't go in expecting a rich narrative. The story mode exists mainly to teach you the mechanics, and you can get through it in a single sitting. The real game is the online multiplayer, which as we've established, is a mixed bag.
So why am I still here?
Because it's Naruto. The character creator is genuinely fun, the roster of master characters is massive and keeps growing, and there's something deeply satisfying about landing a perfect combo or pulling off a team jutsu with friends. The bones of a great game are clearly there. It just never quite gets out of its own way.
If you're a hardcore Naruto fan, you'll probably end up here eventually like the rest of us. Just go in with tempered expectations, wait for a sale, think twice before touching the DLC, and maybe report every hacker you see on your way in.

Boring. The character moves too slow. It was on sale and thought it's a good game just as others recommends it. Personally, I'd rather play Skyborn or any of the Aveyond series.

Worth buying!
Great game with great graphics and with great story!
I love how the twins behave between each other.
If Jacob weren't an assasin, he'd be a comedian!
You rock Frye(s)!
10/10
Amazing game!
(P.S: You can switch characters between Evie or Jacob. However, there are certain parts of the gameplay where you are required (force) to play the character needed for the plot.)

Good game with short storyline. This game can be completed in less than 50 hours, probably even less than 30 hours. I kept repeating this game twice and the game is fairly okay. Some humor in it. As a loyal Aveyond fan, I've been playing Aveyond ever since I was 8 years old and so far Aveyond games never fail me. I just hope that there will be more about Rhen and Lars (referring to Aveyond : Rhen's quest) in the future of Aveyond games. Overall, in my opinion, I like other old Aveyond games than this one. This Aveyond 4 : Shadow Of The Mist just didn't suprises me a lot. But i guess its worth buying.
