Early Access Review
This game has huge potential; the building mechanics are very compelling and driving around is a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, there are still many kinks to work out. Keep in mind that some of these issues may be specific to my computer's specifications:
- The game crashes constantly, sometimes accompanied by a blue screen of death.
- Progress in the campaigns do not save properly; it's a roll of the dice whether or not you'll come back to all your progress being wiped.
- Camera options while driving are poorly implemented - dynamic cam is Y-inverted and unusable, free cam follows every little bump your car experiences and is unusable, loose cam is usable but requires constant use of the mouse to see where you're going.
- Loading screens galore, plan to twiddle your thumbs for a while even with a decent rig

All that said, it's a free game! If you like building mechanically realistic toy cars and driving them around, give it a shot. Maybe you'll be more lucky than I was with game stability. I would love to see this game evolve into something greater.

I don't usually spend more than 100 hours on any given game, often less than 50 before I stop and never play again. Avorion is a rare exception. It is one of the few games that has managed to eat countless days of my time without making me feel like I wasted them. For anyone passing by, Avorion might seem like Minecraft in space, and they wouldn't be too far off. You can indeed build whatever you please, and there is even a 'creative' mode. For anyone who bothers to take a closer look however, there is so much more.

Avorion starts you off in a civilized sector, piloting a tiny drone armed with nothing but mining lasers. Soon you build your first ship out of iron or titanium, and unless you have a master's degree in architectural design, it probably looks terrible. Eventually you might have to fight pirates and maybe get blown up by torpedoes a few times. Most games would leave it at that; fight bad guys so you can build a better ship and fight better bad guys. Instead, as you progress, you uncover a simplistic yet compelling backstory to the galaxy you're placed in. You find that the core mechanics of the game go beyond build-shoot-mine-build. The game does a good job getting you to explore the unknowns, and the pacing is very well moderated.

Hidden mass sectors, wormholes, space pirates, the Xsotan, cultists, smugglers, hidden bosses, artifacts, ancient alien gateways, subspace rifts. They all show their faces at least once during your quest, each with a healthy dose of mystery and crucial mechanics to learn and master. It's not every day I come across a game that gives me a decent sense of adventure and exploration.

There are always downsides, and while I will say that a few of the mechanics have room for improvement, I think that could be said about most games. A decent computer is almost required to play, especially into the late game when it's extremely beneficial to have multiple ships in separate sectors mining and completing other tasks. The more RAM you've got, the better, and don't even bother trying to run it off an HDD. I'd recommend a GTX 1050Ti or better, but your luck may vary.

Overall? Brilliant game that deserves so much more attention. I could go on about how great the dev team is, or how amazing the community has been to be a part of, but this review is long enough and I want to get back to playing the game myself. Verdict? If you like playing singleplayer adventures, your money will be well-spent here.

Terraria is the ulitmate adventure game. The game is incredibly fun to play, offers an unpresidented plethera of boss battles, upgrades, weapons, enemies, abilities, magic, exploration, and discovery from the very start, and encourages players to experience the full game multiple times over.

The game keeps you engaged by bombarding you with awesome discoveries in the early game, and giving you momentus challenges time and time again until the last boss is defeated, and even then, you may be tempted to conquer them all again for the rarer item drops.

I've been playing terraria for years, and It is still one of my favorite titles. A must-play title for any gamer

The Game is fun. Decent Graphics, Simple Controls, Great mechanics, and a not-too-shabby 'tutorial'.
There are a few drawbacks, though. Replayability is a bit on the low side, as progression is a bit slow and you end up doing very similar missions over and over until you have a ship capable of actually fighting Pirates, which can take a while to get.
There is an occaisional bug here and there, but other than that the game runs smoothly.

Aside from the progression issues, I see potential in this game. I love how you can run out of fuel in an uninhabited sector and have to call a nearby merchant for help. I like the money system, how you can ferry goods from one place to another to earn a profit. I like how the gameplay feels, and I would love to see a Multiplayer function.

Overall, great game. Definitely worth the money... oh wait, this game is free. also a plus.
