Although it certainly had its problems, especially with the trade window and custom ammo, it was a much-loved gem and a game like no other, where I used to spend so many hundreds of hours.

Then came the 1896 update, and what looked so promising turned the game into something that had nothing to do with my beloved Hunt Showdown of all those years ago.

A UI that is a nightmare, bugs everywhere, bugs that are only fixed when they affect the in-game currency, balancing from hell, battlepass/gamepass through the backdoor with events that take months and have even more balancing issues, strange in-game design and DLC choices and then there is the cheater and ping abuser problem and Crytek are doing nothing about it.
This game is not fun anymore. I hope it will change for the better and they will undo all the damage they have done - but right now I am not very optimistic about that, when I look at the direction this game has taken.

One of the best games I have every played.
I loved the first game for its graphics, storytelling and atmosphere. But this second installment just tops everything – imagine making a nearly perfect title even better. Giving the player a huge skill set to choose from, more quests, a bigger map, a touch of Hollow Knight and in the end, you have a real masterpiece with beautiful visuals, beautiful soundtrack, touching story, pretty good controls and an overall score from 10/10.
