Saddest game (real 2025)

Please please please please please stop making boss attacks where if you get hit by one attack you are forced to the next 3 or 4 attacks as you can't do anything about it. It essentially becomes a oneshot

Compared to Everhood 1 this has more content, but less charm.

Every new character you interact with is incredibly same-ish and doesn't feel like they have a real personality sheet with few exceptions. The writer's talk patterns show up in most characters.

Story wise its a bit all over the place. I feel that things are just happening with little connection to a bigger plot or reason.

Combat feels like an improvement over the first one, but mainly from being able to avoid having walls spawn and eat your attack.

This game does have better replay value then the first one. You won't be able to see everything in one go, or 2, or 3... like I said; more content.

Also, non-issue for most, but as a woman I can't help to feel that my character is forced to be masculine due to dialog that is being directed at the player. Devs says the player character is supposed to be gender neutral, but dialog ingame says otherwise. Some example dialog, spoilers be warned [imgur.com]

I come back to this game after half a year of life, and somehow this game is now unplayable.
I lost all progress, but was told thats just "how the game is now". Then managed to finish one game after an hour of struggle (multiple softlocks (VR player lost their book, etc.), crashes randomly after game starts lagging with 4fps or when in loading screen (game killed my discord and explorer).
Gave us a ghost type we couldn't get evidence for because we don't have any money and horrible to play at the beginning due to only one player with flashlight.
