3,100 hours in, I believe it's time to create a fair, interesting review for this game.

When I first bought this game, I did not know what I was doing, I spent most likely 200 hours on the gamemode Jailbreak, and that was just the beginning of my time on Garry's Mod.

As any other kiddo would do, you donate to the server you loved playing on because you want to help it stay alive... only to be banned the next day. Amazing.

Any who, the majority of my time playing this game was in the lovely gamemode called starwarsRP. I've most likely spent 2,000 hour alone in this gamemode, and by far I can say it has changed from what I originally experienced a couple years back.

I was exposed to a small community named NOM, this small star wars server grew on me, and I wanted to stay with it until my downfall, but like all things GMOD related, it eventually shutdown.

I began to freelance around the gamemode community, assisting wherever I could with small bug fixes, development, and management. From experiencing being insulted by 10 year olds for not listening to their "orders," to being praised by server owners for my aid, I still have to say even though I've spent over 3,000 hours on this game it still does not bore me.

The memories I've created playing this game have stuck with me forever. The people I've met, the people I despise, and even the people who were just a blur are all remembered. Being mistakened for Sono all the time, starring in a Zuthar youtube video as the infamous Major Cool, and even just marching with 20 willing troopers in your battalion who listen to all the garbage you spew, these memories are precious to me. Garry's Mod is more than autistic screeching, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ roleplay servers, and mass rdming youtubers, it's about creating memories with people who you enjoy playing with, not taking things too seriously when roleplaying, and just remembering to have a good time on the servers you join.

So, for those who don't already have this game, but want to purchase it, of course I recommend this game, I highly recommend this game. Find a community you can enjoy. Find people who will stay by your side and make everlasting friendships with them. Raid a bank and hold off against 12 cops with your 3 man crew in a DarkRP server. Accidently kill another terrorist as a terrorist in TTT. Yell at your officer in starwarsRP if they're being retarded. The game has the freedom for you to do whatever you want.

+ The Community is amazing, but there is always those people in every game who ruin it. The overwhelming majority of the community heavily outnumber those people though.
+ Limitless amounts of gamemodes, currently the gamemodes are mostly starwarsrp and darkrp, but explore the smaller gamemodes to get a taste of how they are.
+ Become a rockman in DarkRP when a server has a great "Developer."

- Lots of addons to download sometimes
- People are too serious at times, especially staff on roleplay servers.

Just remember, this is a game. Let's all have fun together.

Thank you for taking the time to read this review if you've made it down this far.

TL;DR - This game can honestly make you go crazy, but it's worth every second.
