CP violation
For those of you interested, a CP violation is short for "charge conjugation parity symmetry violation". Certain physical interactions, namely electromagnetism, gravity and the strong nuclear force, display CP-symmetry, meaning the laws of physics remain the same if a particle is exchanged with its antiparticle and the spatial coordinates of the system are inverted. However, in the case of weak nuclear interactions, responsible for radioactive decay, CP symmetry does not hold; this is said to be a CP violation.
