After rocky launch day, I've been enjoying this and look forward to the support from the team and community over the coming years. Plays so much smoother than 2020, looks and feels so much better!

Fun game, but the campaign has its flaws.

[+] really fun management game. It's almost like a gateway game to other simulation/management games. Every time I play, I have an itch to play other sim games lol

Regarding the campaign...
[-] the bonus objectives are sometimes not clear at all
[-] the campaign is way too easy. the objectives are all put on easy maps and with tons of money
[-] the campaign does not push you to be very efficient, instead just get their checkbox and move on
[+] the maps and areas are fun
[-] there is not a single time it takes you from the really old era to the current eras.

Overall, I like the game a lot, but the campaign makes you wish for more. Thank god for sandbox + community mods or this would probably be a not recommend.

The beginning is so fun, then it becomes non balanced very quickly, and even science focused you cannot complete the science trees before the game "ends".
The beginning is even a little off, as it is more beneficial to turn your units on "auto move" since they know items that are in the fog of war...
It's flashy with lots of units, but upgrading your units does not feel rewarding at all. Just not balanced. the last couple eras are so boring.

Forgettable and predictable story surrounded with game play that is just itching for save-scum, I cannot recommend this game.

I finished this game just to be able to officially get it off the backlog. The first 10-15 hours were fun, then the combat lost its enjoyment. The story was just OK and the little comments here and there were funny at first but also lost their taste after a while. I'm glad I finished, but I will not remember this one. 76 hours at game completion, but probably closer to 30 hours to get through it for me. Wasn't always active when the game was running.
