♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is good. the only thing i can say is that i wish the choices weren't so damn hard. Thankfully i can do multiple playthroughs.

This game is unfinished. constant crashes. game runs like ass even on high end hardware (4080 super and 9950x3d). story is ok, predictable but good enough. there are a few memorable side quests. ending feels rushed and kind of bland. very annoying open ended ending that really does not give a satisfying conclusion. post game content is weak. characters level up too fast. there aren't enough enemy types. gun rarities under purple aren't worth using, not that you ever need to with how much the game gives you rare loot

don't get this game unless it's on a heavy sale. its fun, but not $70 fun, let alone 100 or 120 for the "deluxe editions"

gameplay is incredible, atmosphere is incredible, voice acting is incredible, but the story is SUPER weak. I'd say give it a shot if you're looking for a fun horde shooter. different classes allow for varied playstyles. Wish the monetization was less toxic though.

Yeah, its quite fun. There are a lot of options for playstyles (fast, tanky, somewhere in between with plenty of customization). The weapons feel good to use, and the main gamemode 3v3v3 is fun, i like that you can win even if your team isn't the best at combat. Plus, its free. monetization is kinda everywhere but thats purely aesthetic, and you can also grab only parts of an outfit you like to make your character your own. I'd def say try it out

game locks cutscenes to 30 fps, and it looks just as bad as you think it would. actual gameplay seemed fun and the game was pretty when it was able to run at a modern frame rate. if you can stand sudden bursts of 30 fps, then yeah sure. otherwise no

EDIT: The following bug has been fixed within two days of launch. still overall fun but generally disappointed by the optimization. story isn't fantastic either. gameplay makes it worth it though. only recommended if you have a strong computer.


Overall its an incredibly fun game that i want to play, but there's a few issues. I am experiencing a game ruining bug, where I am unable to upgrade armors for myself, or anything for my palico because i upgraded my gear too early and am now stuck in a tutorial regardless of what i try. Part of monster hunter's charm is crafting all the cool armor, but i cant. going to wait until the game gets an update that fixes this to play again. Also, while the game is very pretty, it should not come at the cost of awful optimization. feels like capcom needed a few more months to let this cook.

also, locking changing how your character looks behind a real money paywall is absurdly greedy and unacceptable.
