Off to your left, you can see the faint lights of an amusement park on the horizon. Squinting, you can barely make out the slow turn of a ferris wheel. You smile. A thrill from a bygone era. You lean on the railing, looking out over the beach in front of you. If you close your eyes, you can still hear the laughter, the crowds. Things used to look a lot different. But it's not so bad to come back to every once in a while.
