If you can get past the hordes of addy snorters and the toxic community, there's some pretty classy gents on here that'll give you a nice lesson in how to use the panic parry button via the maul plus a nice laugh while pointing at your exploded brain matter. 10/10 would recommend.

One of the best games I've ever played, it has the old gameplay I love with very upstanding graphics, even on the original 2004 release! 10/10 game, definitely would recommend.

This game... Oh man this game... This is, by far, the best game I have ever played. I'm 15, but I still love this game, and I could play it a million times over if I could. This game definitely deserves a full sequel, not by "episodes", but by a full game "Half-Life 3". This game is the pinnacle of Valve's creations, and shame on the people who pirated this amazing game, just because they can't save up some cash to support the development of a (hopefully even more amazing) sequel to this masterpiece. The ending to this game is amazing, and the ending to the episodes are just BEGGING for a sequel.

If I were to rate this game, released only 6 years after Half-Life, I would rate 10/10 overall.
11/10 for graphics, especially for its' time.
10/10 for gameplay. My god is the gameplay amazing.
10/10 for creativity. A nuclear physicist, armed with only a crowbar and gravity gun, deserves high praise.
9/10 for game types. Multiplayer would have been a nice feature, but Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, and the length of single player definitely makes up for it.
10/10 for sounds. The sound effects in this game are phenomenal, and the voice acting is spot-on perfect.

Overall, this game is hardly debatable as the greatest game ever made. Anyone who always reads reviews before they buy it, I say BUY IT RIGHT NOW! Play the game, or be left in the dust with all the others who haven't seen the beauty of Valve's greatest achievement.
