It's a yes because I'm a fan and the game has a beauty to it that is enjoyable to feel part of but OMG is it buggy. playing on a high-end PC and it still chugs at times. The crashing is fairly regular and annoying. Finally you it's got a fairly reptetative combat meta, such as almost all enemies can be destroyed by cabbage ... which isn't the combat meta you's expect

Half way through chapter 2 and really drawn in by the story and the acting drama of it. Nice job and there are worse ways to spend time

I found the control mechanics a bit to janky and unintuitive for my liking but what I really dislike is the way the save system works. many times I did something stupid or I was just jerking about and it punishes you hard for such things. ultimately I just got more and more frustrated till it's now time to give up after another session was lost and time and efforts wasted.

Look this is complicated. I love the francise and this closes out the series, so it gets a thumbs up because I love the gameplay, the concepts and the humour. However almost everything else has been a disappointment. The clear anti-consumerism of the sales model. The gameplay reliance on online servers, which regularly intrude on play to "update". Adhoc approach to "recovering your previous progress", which still leaves you needing to re-complete the previous story modes. It's like they have done their level best to ruin a good thing.

Unfortunately this magnificent game was initially unplayable because of server discrepancy and connectivity issues, constantly resetting career progress. I subsequently worked out the nature of this known bug and adapted so my progress wasn't lost (basically, you cannot exit mid championship in a career, even if you leave the computer on overnight).
However once past that point, it is such a rewarding game to play, there just are not enough hours in the day to master it.

Really nice game. Basically the floor is lava but with a cool variation. Looks fantastic, it's eminently playable and seems fairly scalable for difficulty

Maybe 10 years old but I still enjoyed the story and while the mechanics are pretty clunky the game play grows on you. It has a particularly extreme approach to equipment resets but it sort of works with the story telling so I guess I am alright with it.

That is really addictive. Only four hours in but that was 4 hrs, when it was just one more round, well just one more then...

Hell yeah. Man I feel so stressed but blessed to have had this experience. I love "beauty" and my god this was beautiful. I love a good story and it's got a brutal story. The game play is deceptively clever but what tops it all is the soundtrack. Holy heck, you have to take regular breaks ... I cannot comprehend how people cope with this subject matter in real life ... and that's the whole point of the game, right? 10/10

Very pretty an everything but I got so frustrated with the compulsory timed parkour or weapon combo switches required to progress. This is not the Doom I want or enjoy. Gave up frustrated half way through.
