I love 40k - Space Marine was one of my favorites from back in the day, I played all of the Dawn of War games (and liked them), and I've painted a large collection of 40k minis.

While this game nails the style of 40k, it's rather boring. There really isn't a story, the level design is confusing, and the enemies don't react unless you're within a certain distance of them. I'm through the second act (along with 13% of people who have this game) and I'm debating giving up. It's really missing any of the intensity and fun of other shooters from the genre this is a pastiche of (Serious Sam, Rise of the Triad).

I think if they would have spent a little more time adding cut scenes between missions, I'd be willing to grind it out to see what happens (Warhammer fans want some lore). As it stands, I feel like I'm progressing through this game because I don't want to feel like I wasted my $20. This falls into the cool concept, poor execution category of Warhammer games.

Plot is lame. Developers need to realize nobody wants to play the "hazy dream sequence." I totally wasted my time.
