DOOM is a very solid game, undisputed GOTY, but to it's credit the game did win Best Action GOTY, but it honestly deserved more being one of the best looking games on console and pc this generation.


PROS:

• Incrediblly detailed maps/enemies/weapons etc.
  The designers did an outstanding job with this game, the enviorments are beautiful, the weapons look badass and animated realistically.
  
  
• Animations are glorious
  The glory kills serves id Software's hard work justice. They feel smooth, badass, and increblibly fun to do.
  
  
• Little cutscenes and dialogue, just how it should be.
  Most games today have large amounts of their game either being cutscenese or in-place dialogue. This game throws you right into combat with little cutscenes and backstory. And it feels great.
  
  
• Fast-paced, brutal, combat.
  In DOOM, standing still will you get you killed. When you're low on health or on ammo, you can trigger a glory kill by damaging an ememy enough to stagger them. When you kill an enemy with a glory kill they could drop ammo, health, or even armor, depending on what rune you have selected.
