"Keep on Truckin'" has been my motto lately. Lots of American and European Truck Simulator playing! It is very realistic, fun and also a history/geography lesson!

Just complete my first lighter-than-air flight in any version of Flight Simulator - took a blimp over Honolulu - launched from Ford Island. It was very challenging but I successfully touched down after a short flight over Aloha Tower!

I'm getting really excited for the new version of Flight Simulator coming out in November! For the first time you have an in-game career mode. Lots of aircraft including hot air balloons! And finally, while on the ground the scenery will not be blurry. Real time updates of weather, ships, and even migrating animals included!

Giving fishing a break. I gave Car Mech 2018 another chance, and after playing with the video settings, I got it to work great! I fully restored my first car, and have been enjoying it quite a bit.

I have been doing a LOT of fishing on Fishing Planet. It has become my favorite way to wind down the day after work. For someone who has caught perhaps 3 fish in my life, I have caught hundreds of excellent swimmers in Fishing Planet!

theHunter Classic has easily become my new favorite game! Over a hundred hours over the last 3 weeks! It is exciting and relaxing at the same time - the thrill of hunting combined with the calming sounds of nature make it extremely realistic. Not bad for a free to play game. 5/5 stars

I went ahead and repurchased some games that I loved from the 1990s and early 2000s. With the purchase of a new PC unlikely, it is probably best for me to run some classic games for the time being. I'm very heavy to report that I was able to update Silent Hunter 3 and Sim City 4 to 16:9 resolutions. My current PC appears to be incompatible with the Falcon 4.0 BMS mod, so I am rather disappointed with that. But the vanilla game is still pretty good. That being said, two more of my favorites that I loved, Railroad Tycoon 2 and Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic are now back in my inventory! :104:

With SCS having a big sale this week, I completed my collection of ATS DLC's including Texas! Also got a few more for ETS2 and the old Bus Simulator game them from years ago.

Completed the Halloween event!:steamhappy:

Putting Car Mechanic Simulator on the back burner. I am glad for trying it out. It might come out again in the future. For now I will stick with the games I love: American Truck Simulator, FSX, and Silent Hunter 3.:meatwagon:

So far I am disappointed with the Car Mechanic simulator - the frame rate is horrible. I'm trying to adjust the graphics to a reasonable rate (I would call 20 fps okay) but so far it is running a 6 - 7.

haha true! :ScrewdriverDrink::jorji:

I think 2021 is on sale now, but $5 was hard to beat for 2018 for a game I am not sure about yet.
22 Sep, 2022 @ 3:29pm
Oh nice man! yea if you like those, 2021 looks quite a bit better and is designed better, but it has less DLC because its newer. They released Aston Martin dlc 2 days ago, the engines are incredible oO The junkyard and auction house in CMS2021 are way better also btw. Maybe wait till 2021 is on sale, it often is :steamthumbsup::cms21wrench:

So I purchased Car Mechanic 2018 and the Jeep DLC because they were on sale for cheap. I'll let you know what I think of it! :greasysideup:

That must have been incredible. I never been on one of those(aircraft carrier), always wanted to.
I was with 1/1st Marines in Camp Pendleton. Hollywood Marine all the way here haha. 0311 Grunt.

I was an air traffic controller in the Navy from 1997 to 2010. Was on a bunch of ships, mostly aircraft carriers.
20 Sep, 2022 @ 4:14pm
Enjoy! I did a stint in the USMC (1996-2001), I spent 4 months aboard USS Tarawa, incredible experience and learned so much from those sailors. Enjoy ATS, I heard its an incredible game
20 Sep, 2022 @ 2:57pm
Thank you, I love my Jeep :104:I am planning to get Euro Truck Sim one of these days when it is on sale. Right now I am having a super time with ATS
20 Sep, 2022 @ 1:54pm
Awesome jeep btw :cms21wrench::approved:

I have Euro Truck Sim 2, its great. On sale a lot also. Have you tried community radio yet? Also check out Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, I think you would like that one :ScrewdriverDrink::jorji:

My biggest surprise about joining Steam is finding other games I enjoy! I found a "new" one I never heard before called American Truck Simulator. Considering how much I like flight simulation, I thought it would be pretty cool. After doing a lot of investigation into it, and seeing how much other players enjoyed it, I purchased it while it was on sale dirt cheap and WHAMO - I was hooked! I just love the game! The simulation of the trucks and the environment are realistic! The AI traffic is appropriately rude 😂 and the scenery is gorgeous for even an old computer like mine. Now I am hauling freight on the open road even more than passengers on a plane! I still love FSX, but now it has competition for my attention!
9 Sep, 2022 @ 9:16am
With most of the sliders at medium high, I can get a frame rate of about 20 to 40. I plan to do some serious flying this weekend!
8 Sep, 2022 @ 7:11am
Was surprised to see with all the sliders maxed out, I was getting a frame rate of about 15 to 20 fps - very good! (The boxed version would be between 1 and 5 fps with the graphics set to ultra high.) I'm going to tune it down a bit and see if I can get them closer to 60.
7 Sep, 2022 @ 6:00pm
Just getting started in Steam, got my favorite flight sim FSX after seeing reviews saying it works better in Steam than it did with the boxed version.
