I play GTA since the very first game was released, so it is obvious that I am a fan of the series but I try to use reason when it comes to analysing the ups and downs of a product and in my humble opinion, this game is a masterpiece.
The single player campaign is action packed and has some really interesting elements, such as the three protagonists and their background stories or the (well known) freedom of doing anything you want.
Playing online can be really fun, but bear in mind that all these complaints regarding cheaters and people using exploits in public lobbies are true. So, unless you are planning on playing it with friends in "invite only" sessions or something like that, you'll always be a potential target...
Now, the thing I dislike the most is the DRM Rockstar uses on their games, which makes it impossible/difficult to play them without an internet connection - even if you want to play the campaign. In other words: the ones who acquire the game legitimately are the ones who pay the price of piracy.
Overall, GTA V is such a great game that I feel bound to recommend it.
