This game makes me happy. Putting on some music while playing makes for a great way to de-stress and enjoy some flying. Small things like the sound effects and camera shake as you speed up and fly close to walls really adds a great layer of polish to the game, and it's nice to see that the devs are listening to feedback and making changes as the community grows.

On sale, the price I paid for this game feels like highway robbery. I'd gladly pay full price, and can see myself playing this for many hours to come.

I'm a huge fan of Deus Ex, and given the initial mixed reviews, I was worried. However, having finally finished the game, I feel like I can really give this game an overwhemingly positive review.

MD is in no way a perfect game. It improves on Human Revolution in many ways but suffers from issues of its own.

The good:

* More Deus Ex. I seriously love the series, and this game didn't feel like a cash-grab. Its well polished, and Eidos obviously took a lot of care in crafting it. That being said, the DLC system *is* a cash grab and leaves a lot to be desired.

* Level design. Very well thought out levels. As always, stealth is the way to go, and is a blast. Lots of information and interesting bits hidden in the sidequests and random locations

* Music. Maybe not as memorable as DX1 or HR, but extremely well done. Even the main menu music was epic.

The bad:

* Denuvo. Seriously, SE get it the ♥♥♥♥ together. Denuvo is horrible, and you shouldn't be required to be online to play a single player game

* DLC system. The pay2win dlc microtransactions are trash.

* Story. Obviously cut to allow for another game. Story was not as strong as previous installments, but still gripping and epic in its own sense. Enjoyed cameos of characters from previous games. However, some characters weren't very fleshed out and by the end I still wasn't fully sure of their role or purpose.

* Performance. I'm not expecting to play it on ultra-high, but the game just didn't feel completely optimized. Nixxes did a good job, but the day one CTD should not have happened. Post-patch, crashes and low framerate drops are only an occasional annoyance.

Overall I'm happy. There are some inexcusable issues with the game, but DX:MD is a game I see myself playing again and again, and it rightfully earns the Deus Ex title. The unfortunate issue now is that we must wait 4-5 years for the next installment.

Although I'm still playing through, this is an excellent mod. Deus Ex is and always will be a pinnacle of PC gaming, although it has definitely aged. This mod really breathes new life into the game, and while I would have even been fine with just new textures, music and some balances and fixes, the redone level design (only where it is needed) really makes me feel like I'm playing a whole new game. It is truly well done. New york for example is taken from a blah grey level to a very vibrant and detailed hub. It was a level redesign I didn't even realize the game needed, but now that it's there... wow.

It's obvious that a lot of effort was put into this mod, and I can easily recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed Deus Ex in the past. That being said, the engine really is the limitation here. I would love to see a full (true to the original) remake of DX1, but the ball is in Square Enix's court for that one :)

Nostalgia overload. Grab if you played this when you were 6 and want the waves of memories and simple times to rush over you. Otherwise, it's relatively mediocre for the price.

I had way too much fun playing this game in the day. I wish that the community were still active, but regardless of its current state, the game has won a special place in my heart. There's still enough players to support a ton of servers, but all my frequented servers have since been shut down, and my friends moving on to other games. In short, the campaign is fun, and would be worth playing through at least once. The multiplayer is a lot of fun as well. It's a little more focused on close quarters, so if you're looking for the epic 64 player vehicle battles that BF3 offers, you may want to look elsewhere. However, it's relatively well balanced, each weapon has its merits and drawbacks, and once you find your niche with a class, you'll have a blast.

Destruction is the real selling point of this game in my opinion, as you can level an entire map with patience and a grenade launcher. Makes for interesting gameplay, and an interesting sense of suspense, since the map can change at any time. Definitely recommend for any multiplayer FPS fan.

What a piece of junk. Coming from someone who's 100%ed HR, played through DX1 countess times, this is not worthy of the title, nor your money.

Don't bother.

Why are you wasting time looking at a review for HL2? If you haven't played it yet, play it. Great game, and one of my all time favorites.

Quite an interesting game. Best played in short bouts, as the mechanics can feel grindy at times. However, definitely worth checking out. Unique concept, setting and graphics. Worth every penny.

Oh ♥♥♥♥ son, this game.
You get all these crazy powers, you can teleport, you're as agile as a fox, and you get to assasinate people.

This game is fun.
