Best point-and-click adventure I've played in a good while.

One of my most favorite games ever. Rather under-rated, but seems to see some recent attention again after several youtubers played it again.

A sort of urban exploration simulator blended with engaging, rich back story of corruption, manipulation, and all those things, funny notes, and continual funny re-appearances of teddy bears. :D Wade through all the failing, long neglected infrastructure of the fictional city of Stalburg, fixing puzzles and bringing bits of infrastructure back to life as you go.
The further you go, the more you can uncover, but apparently there are still many more mysteries you wouldn't notice on the first playthrough.

I don't know what else to say. Buy it and try it? Become a Stalburgian. Or not.

Quite relaxing and mostly fun, although it's still slightly shallow and not terribly polished in some places.

Worth picking up on a sale. Me approves.

It's one of the very few games I ended up regretting throwing some money at.

It's probably inspired by Game Dev Tycoon, but this implementation of it is way less fun.
Almost every aspect of the game feels at least like a chore.

TL;DR: Get Game Dev Tycoon instead. If you already have it, play it again.


As far as I've got, you can either accept contracts, or work on your product(s).

Optimizing the product is completely painful. When enabling a login system on your webby thing of 10 users brings the whole server down, there's something wrong. Getting it out of that state either requires you throwing crazy amounts of money at your VPS provider (hundreds of dollars per day? what the hell?), or 'optimizing' the product, which takes far too much effort for the most part.

Speaking of which, being able to buy/manage more instances requires one to level up quite far (grind for hours) to get your DevOps, and even then you have to research your own OS and whatnot for another decade or two. Why?

Also, most of the numbers in terms of response times/users per server instance feel utterly wrong. I guess those were nerfed just to 'balance' the game a bit more, but I'm not sure that has helped much. It's only an additional annoyance to me. :/

So, in the end, you probably end up doing nothing but contracts to make your money, seeing that getting your product off the ground is far too painful. Ah well.

Promoting developers to 'lead dev' positions could also be a nice addition. I somehow ended up having one überdev I wish I could've 'moved up', but nope.

Don't bother getting this game; I'd suggest spend your time managing your own startup instead. It's more fun, and may make you some cash in the process. Unlike this.

This is one of the games that is worth getting and will indeed change your life.

It might be a bit boring when played in single player, but then try joining either some public server (be sure to get CS:S too then), or grab a couple of friends and play together...

No matter how silly it might look like, just go and get it. NOW. It's on sale anyway...

If you haven't played this game, you clearly are missing something.

Now go, and play it. NOW.
