Having played Elite Dangerous for over 1000 hours. It certainly does have the ability to grant enjoyment for an extended time. There are numerous different avenues to persue in game, catering for the PvP minder player and the PvE minded player. Although the game can be repetative in certain elements and a bit "grindy" as well as "time padding" with long journeys to certain places and the game lacks any new mechanics other than shooting to interact with everything.

But the massive 1:1 scale galaxy and amount of worlds and places to visit is unparalleled in Space Sim games (for now).

Misrepresented in the pre-release information. Repetative gameplay, lacking in several basic game mechanics one would expect in an exploration / space "sim" game.

Cannot recall ship to your "GPS".

Appreciate the choice of graphical design of the game but can end up looking rather garish and cartoon-like.
