This is a colony building-roguelike-tower defense-god simulator mashup. A really interesting combination of genres.
The premise is that you start on a map, build out your colony and survive the onslaught of the "corruption". You then migrate to a new map and do the same all over again.

The graphics have so much pixely goodness that you just cannot fault it. The music is fantastic and matches the game perfectly and the game loop is extremely addictive.

Some (maybe) important things to take note of:

1) The game is brutal on the higher difficulty levels so take care if you venture there.

2) The game is not really "winnable". The whole premise of the game is to survive the onslaught of corruption and by doing better and pushing the corruption further, you only get more and more resistance from the enemy. This is one of the main problems I have with the game as it seems kind of unfair as the better you do, you get more and more punished for it. Having that said, "beating" a map by removing all corruption is possible but an extremely hard thing to do.

3) The game can feel that you are doing the same thing over and over again which in a sense is true. Even though each map is unique and poses different challenges, you build out your colony, survive and move on. Once you have a working recipe for survival you execute it and that's it. On higher difficulty levels, if you F up something, things start cascading usually and you get overrun.

4) There is no win condition. This is mostly a sandbox game even though it does not seem like one, and you make your own goals and wins as you please.

I rarely review games and it is even rarer that I put over 100 hours into a game but this little gem just keeps sucking me in. Would I recommend it? Absolutely!
